Justice League The Bruce Wayne/Batman Thread

I disagree. I can see Gosling nailing the playboy billionaire, and the serious Bruce but Batman? It all depends.

Fassbender might be the equivalent to Bale in all 3 categories. Then again as dark and serious Bale got, he had a likeability and a warmth that Fassbender may not be able to pull off. It would be more along the lines of Keaton. Where it's just a cold Bruce Wayne. I never felt bad for Keaton once, while Bale won me over completely. Now Fassy would give a different Bat performance than Christian, but it wouldnt necessarily be better. Just different.

There's a bunch of actors that could nail the playboy Wayne but butcher Batman. And some actors would be the other way around.

Im not sure it's gonna be easy to find an actor who can do the 3 personas as well as Bale. A HUGE challenge.

I wasn't talking about Gosling or Fassbender. Eddie Dean's comment sums it up.

Honestly, most of today's serious dramatic actors that are in good shape and range between 25 and 45 could probably make an interesting Batman. It's not a hard role to cast.

He's denied interest and roles in super hero movies plenty of time, he admits to it himself. It's never going to happen.

Exactly there's plenty of proof out there.

It's more obnoxious going in circles and bringing up names that are a waste of space.

True. You could say this about a lot of other superheroes as well.

That's the thing that annoys me. People dont like the voice, but it doesnt mean its incorrect what so ever. It just means that you dont like it. I honestly didnt know that the comics came with audio for the last 70 years!

Exactly! It's all subjective.

A small minority of fanboys complain about Bales Batman voice when you look at the big picture of things.

If he was about 5 or 6 years younger yes.

If they went older he would be great.

why younger i think most fans want an established batman we went through a young bruce with bale who was 30 in begins

depends what wb wants. I've always preferred bale if we're going older batman. i like the idea that he came in when super powered heroes where a figment of people's imagination; but in casting a new one, I'm not so sure, particularly if they plan on making more solo bat features. if that's the case, they'll probably want to go young, just young all across the board.

but there not the same age, Batman is around 10 to 12 years older than Superman

In the 1980s Post-Crisis, they were written the exact same age. Don't know what **** new 52 is pedaling, but Batman and Superman have always been the same age.

Given Cavil's age, the ideal casting range for Batman would be 26-34.

Actually it was the Silver Age they were the same age, in the Post-Crisis world Superman was 2 years older and in the New 52 Superman is 27 and Batman is 30.

You're probably right. It's just the problem of overthinking this type of thing.

I think we're limiting ourselves and thinking about "the different sides of Batman and Bruce" and looking at it from the perspective of Keaton and Bale and not thinking more broad.

It's not just fanboys who complain and make fun of Bale's Batman voice. My own mother can't help but laugh when he talks. I personally don't have a problem with the voice itself, just the entire concept that Bruce Wayne puts on a voice when he's Batman. I've always imagined it comes to him subconsciously.

i wanted him as barry, but i don't think we have a vote in this. :funny:

if he's to play a superhero, it'll probably be batman. just makes the best sense given what he's said before.

Also, there is an interview in the January 3rd edition of Australian OK magazine where he says, "I've always wanted to play a superhero, but the good ones are taken."

^^ That's like the best news I've heard in a while!

Gosling would make a great Bats, Flash, whatever. I don't know whether he'd ever do it, but I'd definitely be excited about it if he did. Hell, Gosling as a superhero would be so badass that it might not even matter what character he was playing.

He should play Aquaman. No one would ever say Aquaman was lame again.
