Bumblebee The Bumblebee Spin-Off Official Thread

Man, hearing Bernie Mac's lines from TF1 at the beginning gave me the feels.

Main problem with this franchise was that Bay stayed on it too long. 2 or 3 would have been fine.

This looks incredibly sweet and charming. Love Bumblebee's design and I adore Hailee Steinfeld, so that's a bonus.

This legitimately looks better then any of the Transformers movies so far. The trailer has some actual heart to it.

That's probably why Paramount pushed it back to Christmas, they saw a rough cut and thought it would play better than a usual summer date.

Although considering how the summer box office is going, this would've been a hit had it stuck with the June 8 date.

I am kind of shocked. I am interested in this movie now.

Looks like it might be more story/character driven than just the same old same old Bay-Verse BS.

Cool.

it truly does but I sure hope that's starscream cause I can't look away from that shot in the trailer looks so awesome

we should have gotten that in the first I hope this turns out great and that
it launches a reboot

Well hell. That should've been the beginning of the ****ing franchise.

This. Why didn't Spielberg push for something like this in 2006 rather than hiring Michael Bay in the first place?

Travis Knight is a much better fit here, just on the first teaser alone.

He did make Kubo. And that movie is all heart, while being fantastic in general.

I'm really glad to have a director who loves the franchise making the movie.

Well, the first movie sorta had some of those Spielberg-ian touches since Bay didn't have full control back then like he did with the sequels. It also had heart which they lacked.

I am honestly astonished what we're seeing out of Bumblebee is seemingly good as it is. As someone who loves Kubo And The Two Strings, I'm crossing my fingers Travis Knight nails his first live-action movie.

I like his design here more than the other films. Too bad they soured me to this franchise.

The more I watch the trailer the more I love it. And a Bee catching the helicopter is just :hmr:.

Yeah, I'm really uninterested in Transformers for the most part, but that was a great trailer with a lot of heart.

Same! I think the money shot for me is either the helicopter, Bumblebee transforming in the garage, or G1 Starscream!!!! :hmr::hmr::drl:

I think my favorite shot is Bumblebee transforming in the garage. The face under the car is a great nod to the toys. If you've owned any Transformer toys that turn into cars (especially a movieverse Bumblebee), there's a good chance you'll get the reference right away.

Hell yeah it does! And the designs are a massive improvement. They look more like machines made from tactile heavy materials and not just a cluster**** of cgi pieces. I'm genuinely looking forward to this now.
