I was gonna be sarcastic since that's how you chose to respond instead of trying to come up with a legitimate answer to my question (which I suppose is the way one responds when one doesn't have a legit answer but feel they must lash back in SOME way), but instead I'll just say under obama Iraq still doesn't have wmd's (unless they found their way out the back door into Syria during the month it took our troops to make their way into Bagdad - no, that makes too much sense), we're still wasting money, resources and lives, and iraq is not a threat. IOW the circumstances are still the same. Obama campaigned on the promise of immediate troop withdrawal. Clearly that didn't happen. So I'll give you another chance: where is the outrage? Where are the picketers? Why are soldiers lives so much less precious now that bush is out of office? Exactly.

And just out of curiosity, what were you saying to yourself when hussein was blocking every effort of the UN to search for evidence of the production of wmds? When bush extended deadline after deadline for invasion trying to get cooperation from sadaam but to no avail? Did you think this was the behavior of someone with nothing to hide?

I wasn't being sarcastic, what I said is absolutly true.

As for your question, right now people are more concerned with the economy and jobs. And the Tea Partiers are the picketers du jour. I agree though, it is sad we are still in Iraq. Getting that albetross off our neck would free up some money for the Health Care bill.

As for Hussein's feet dragging, I was like "meh". Like I said, he wasn't a threat. And if I recall, the UN finally did get to search Iraq and found nothing. Hussein himself said he had nothing. But Bush was like, "We have evidence.... we just can't show you". It's sad that nobody saw that Bush was manipulating our fear and anger after 9/11 so he could invade Iraq.

Also, Did Paradoxium get banned? I thought he just made that his custom title because he's been posting up until at least yesterday, but his contact info and about me tabs are missing from this profile. What did he do?

...Dox is just trying to be clever. He is still very much active...despite his custom tagline. :oldrazz:

I made fun of Kel's drawl and called Marx a Smallville fan :awesome:

How dare you!?!?! Now I really should ban you! :cmad:

I don't know if this is true, but in an interview I saw on Charlie Rose a few days ago, there was an interview with African philanthropist Mo Ibriahim (who hands out an award to any African leader who represents a democratic society, which is very rare) and he says that Bush was great for Africa and that Africa is going to wait and see what Obama's policy is in regards to Africa, but that Africa is not in any rush to hear Obama's African policy.

Bush did do alot of good for Africa.

So I've heard. The thing is though when dealing with Africa, you are dealing with a continent in which many of the leaders have remained in power since the end of European Colonialism or were a part of the African independence movements that ended colonialism and ended up overthrowing the guy who led the movements. Some of them have been in power since Bush's father was Vice President under Regan.

I've read that Bush had strong relations though with a lot of those African leaders.

For some reason, I just can't imagine Kel with an accent even knowing she's in Texas.
Welllllsss... y'all know ah'm gettin' some pecan pies onnah forth of Julys. You know that daaay that is celebratin' the kuhntry :awesome:

Crap now I want me some Pecan Pie, haven't had one in like 6 years. But I am on an Mediterranean diet :cmad: :csad:

Maybe if this gets buried into behind a page Kel won't notice. Hopefully she is busy marking tests or drinking a couple Jack Daniels. :awesome:

I think Bush's biography should be interesting. We have to this day not had a good rational argument about why Iraq was decided upon for an invasion and why Bush thinks it is a just war. I think he won't b e able to prove it, just as Karl Rove failed to prove it in his book. But it is always fun to see people try and argue the point.

I mean really, Bush has mostly AIDS relief in Africa. But when you look at everything else...taking a $1 trillion surplus and turning it into a $1.3 trillion deficit, an Iraq War he never finished, Social Security he never reformed, The legacy of the Patriot Act, Preemptive War, the Valerie Plame incident (which borders on treason), the inability to come up with a winning strategy in Afghanistan after 7 years or to capture/kill Osama bin Laden, his fiscal policies contributing to the GREATEST ECONOMIC CRISIS SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION, 9/11 happening on his watch and getting the blame (whether unfairly or not) for the failed Federal response to Katrina....

I don't see how anybody would even want to defend this legacy. It's just so, bad. Truly.

...cause he signed the 9/11 GI Bill that is allowing me to go to film school for free and live nearby cheap on the taxpayers dime....when I am directing Moon Knight I'll give him a shout out:woot:

Actually the AIDS work is what has gotten a little bit of media coverage, when in reality it is in the area of Malaria that he has had the most impact in Africa...

That was last Friday....I pretty much partied all weekend. I can't do that 2 weekends in a row, the body can't take it.

According to the AP, Jenna Bush Hager's home was broken into and two bicycles were stolen from the garage. No one was home at the time of the burglary.

It's also being reported that the bikes were worth $3,500 combined! Yikes. It's good that no one was injured in the process of the burglary though.

How did anyone get in? Outrageous.

The article says that the police found pry marks on the garage door. It also went on to say that the burglars did not enter the home itself...just the garage.

Obama could start WW3, kill the economy, send half the population to jail for no good reason and take a **** on the oval office's main table with the cameras on... and still be ranked higher than Bush in this "Siena College Research Institute" survey.

It's ridiculously premature to rank Obama the 15th best American President, just as it was absurd to award him the Nobel Peace Prize BEFORE HE WAS EVEN PRESIDENT!

Why not, he has won the Nobel Peace Prize, and was nominated even before becoming President and doing absolutely nothing to deserve it, so why not 15th best, after doing absolutely nothing to deserve it.....seems par for the course to me.

There is no way Obama should be that high.

They shouldn't even be rating him yet, and to rank him 15th best is just ridiculous and makes them a joke.

15th best for what, exactly?

HAHA.

Any list that doesn't have Washington number 1 should be instantly rendered invalid. The fact Andrew Jackson is in the top 15 is laughable since he did nothing but disregard the Constitution, make himself dictator and destroy the American economy with a series of reckless actions. (Though as bad as he is, Obama does belong beneath him at least).

Overall, the list does nothing but demonstrate the level of ignorance that runs rabid amongst American "scholars".
