Its called Batman V Superman. There is obviously a fight.

I think there is definitely a fight, probably won't last longer than 5-10 minutes though. And I don't think we will see a single frame of the actual fight till the movie releases, that is the major draw, why give it away for free.

10 minutes is a long fight for just two folks to be duking it out.

Script leak:

Fight 1:

Batman: Tell me, do you bleed? You will.

Fight 2:

Superman: Tell me, does your neck break? It will.

Haters rejoice! All MoS problems solved!

What I find interesting is that there seems to be a real connection to the ideas that so many just went crazy (in a bad way) over in MOS, I.E. Jonathon's talk of how there could be negative reactions to Superman and thus unintended consequences if his existence were revealed, are seemingly the centerpieces of the plot in BvS.

In keeping with his character he'll probably try and talk him out of fighting, so I'd like him to say some thing like;

"don't do this Bruce"....with a slight shock on Bats face that he knows who he is...."don't unleash all of me on a human being"

Superman - "My pa was right, stuff ya'll!"

Remember what Jor-el said as well, "he'll be a god to them".

yeah it does look like they're carrying on that storytelling thread.

which im perfectly ok with. filmmakers wants to present existential subject matters in a more palatable / understandable platform such as a superhero movie. which is great because humans sure aint gonna get the chance to stop and think and improve themselves from all the junk they get with fluff entertainment.

It's almost as if they had some sort of plan

Unlike the actual TDKR comic book this Batman does not know that Superman is a good guy. If he fights him he must be planning to kill him-otherwise why fight? I'm assuming Batman has kryptonite or some Superman killing weakness.

Since we know Superman does not die-other movies coming-i would have to assume that Superman shows Batman the error in his misconception-either by winning or losing fight in not wanting to hurt Batman.

I frankly find some of the negative reactions ridiculous, particularly those calling it entirely grim and dark, devoid of hope etc. It's so funny considering how after MoS one of the main criticisms was that the destruction and damage in the aftermath of Supes' and Zod's fight was never addressed and everything seemed to be neatly swept under the rug, whereas now the trailer has demonstrated clearly that could not be further from the truth, and that precisely this theme will be front and center of BvS in its entirety.

MoS had several cheerful and hopeful moments, and I have no doubt that this film will have them too, it's just that some people need to face it, the DCCU IS and WILL be heavy with drama, much heavier than the MCU, and that's fine. WB is taking a different approach, in the sense that drama and negativity is as much a part of life as happiness and hope, just that with larger than life characters like Superman, the good AND the bad naturally has to be extrapolated to the nth degree.

I don't want to make this a Marvel vs DC thing, I've been a Marvel fan arguably from an earlier age than I've been a DC fan, mostly focused on Spider-Man and Daredevil, since age 8. I've only grown to appreciate the DC pantheon many years later, but just looking at the movie universes themselves, I can say that at no point during any of the MCU films so far, apart from parts of TWS, have I really felt that anything is ACTUALLY at stake or could go horribly wrong in their cinematic world. I still enjoyed all of them, but for the life of me I can't bring myself to try and re-watch them, because I can scarcely find any nuance in there, or anything that would really make me think about life. I still watched and thoroughly enjoyed all of them, but found them too easy to forget about afterwards.

That wasn't the case with MoS, and certainly doesn't seem like it will be the case with BvS.

Just expressing a personal opinion here, not preaching the objective truth or trying to start a flame war.

Man, I really agree with all of this! I too started out with marvel when I was young, but now have a greater appreciation for DC. I mostly agree about marvel's movies being fun but holding up less over time (especially Avengers), though I still maintain GotG is a fantastic movie.

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with this sentiment, and I completely agree about GotG. James Gunn did something really cool there and totally nailed the space opera, Indiana Jones + Star Wars + Superhero film mix 100%. It feels a lot like all those great adventure films of old.

My main point is, we NEED both approaches, and though I may personally gravitate more towards the heavier themes of the nascent DCCU, I recognize that it's good to have variety in the genre and have no problem enjoying the lighter stuff out there - even though I might not come back to it as often after the first viewing.

Truth. Unfortunately, the crux of the vocal minority's arguments against BvS and the DCCU is that we should NOT have both approaches. Thank Zod they're not the ones making movies.

These look like Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) Mexican holiday celebratio.

yes, but, why are they in there? obviously we can take from that it is on the mexican festive 'day of the dead'. i don't think supes' is a border control officer and i don't think they're asking superman for a lift through the sky to enter the states, so.....assuming he rescues somebody or a bunch on day of the dead?

It's amazing how much calmer Superman seems to be with this situation than Manhattan.
I posted it in the wrong trend, nevermind. lol.

Yes, Superman seems to be calmer than Doctor Manhattan. In Watchmen, Ozymandias seems to mirror Lex Luthor in term of manipulation and control which I assumed will happen in BvS.
