I take it you haven't seen the magazine scans...

The answer is yes.

I'm late to the party, as usual.

People at work must think I'm a bit off. I saw this scan, let out an excited gasp, then proceeded to grin for minutes after. I almost fainted.

Cavil already looks like he's ripped strait from the pages of comics, the S curl in this pic just pushed him above and beyond. He IS Superman!

Man, Cavill was BORN to do this! Look at him!

Angry-faced Superman always looks so cool in the comics, and in live-action, it looks even more awesome. Not to disparage anyone else who has played Superman in TV and film, but this picture and shots of Superman like the one in your avy make me think Cavill is the most intimidating Superman ever captured on film. Reeves, Reeve, Routh, Welling, none of these guys have ever gave me that "oh ****!" feeling when they stared down their enemy. Cavills Superman would make me crap my pants if he looked at me the way he's looking at Batfleck in the above picture.

Yez. That's what I wanna see from Superman. Fear and intimidation. Clearly that's what Superman is all about.

I agree...

And when it comes to fighting ones opponent....yes, that is what it's all about

he looks like he wants to kill him, he didn't even look like that towards Zod. also fear and intimidation is batman thing, superman is usually more calm when fighting powerless human opponents. what could Batman have done to make superman that angry?

Slept with his mom?

Slept with his mom?

Don't get me started on my undying love for Diane Lane. I still find her hot till this day.

Anyways, I'm more concerned with who Superman is shooting his heat vision at in the trailer. Talk about a money shot.

Jon Peters, is that you?

In the early days supes beat criminals to a pulp.

And this is why I never understood the people up in arms about the destruction of Metropolis in MoS (killing Zod, maybe, but not the destruction). Firstly, he was Superman for like a day or two, secondly most of that was caused by Zod trying to transform the city into Krypton and a lot of the buildings were evacuated. Lastly, this Superman is particular is sufficiently powerful. Like, he doesn't only look strong, because of the advancement of technology, those fights were epic. As they should be.

I could understand some of the 9/11 imagery. I personally loved it as it made it feel real. We know that's what it looks like in a major city when buildings collapse. It will always remind us of 9/11.

The overall destruction, it's like people didn't even watch the movie. I can't understand why people were complaining about too much destruction. Really? Ever read these guys? Watch their animated stuff? Ever thought for half a second what two kryptonians would do? My goodness I hate people sometimes.

George Miller? Well that would be... Holy mother of God.

It's probably fake tho.

It's crazy how comic accurate Cavill's facial structure is. I mean his lower half of the face looks like Batman from Arkham Knight in that pic. That masculine jawline is straight up comic book material. I bet the rumored Superman game from Rocksteady/WBM might feature a Supes that resembles Cavill.

On another note, anyone else thinks that He'll keep his S curl by movies end? Kinda symbollic in that he finally grew into the Superman that we know and love, and bring forth a more positive outlook than the grimness he exude in MoS and, from what it looks like in the trailers, the earlier parts of this movie? I would be totally down with an S curl Supes in JL.
