To be fair, that has more to back it up (in terms of the idea, than easter egg).

We know that some Lex's experimentation with Zod and his Kryptonian DNA (and likely Kryptonite as well) creates something monsterous. And in most tellings of Bizarro's origin, he is the result of Lex's meddling with Superman's DNA and attempts to clone him.

Now sure, that eye thing is reaching. But its very possible DCEU Zod (or a clone of him) becomes DCEU Bizarro; if only in what we know of it.

It sounds more like the beginnings of Bizarro than a new version of Doomsday.

That's not entirely true. In the comics (I believe post-Crisis, pre-New 52 continuity), General Zod created imperfect robotic clones of himself, as a part of his plan to takeover Krypton (which landed him the Phantom Zone).

And whom did those clones resemble?

Bizarro.

Quite an obscure story/fact, but its interesting to note that Zod is technically the creator of the first Bizarro(s).

What if it started out being more like Bizarro then evolved into Doomsday?
That is what makes Doomsday so formidable. His ability to adapt and evolve quickly to any situation.

What if there are Bizarros?. They are not going to waste Doomsday for a third act of the 1st phase movie. Doomsday should be in MOS 3 (I hope there will be MOS3 )

In the end, Bizarro is the result of Kryptonian DNA experimentation. So if you're okay with Zod turning into Doomsday, then you should have no problem with Bizarro being an uglier Zod clone.

Actually, Lex had in mind to create a perfect clone of Superman, but because his genetics were built like crap he ended up with a crappy clone (twice) that has opposite powers of Superman's: fire breath vs ice breath, freeze vision vs heat vision, etc.

Well, this is the Hype. Seriously though, I'm definitely not saying Bizarro will be in this like it's 100% fact, unlike some who are so damn sure Doomsday is, but it's always fun to speculate. In post-Flashpoint (New 52), Lex's Bizarro project is dubbed "B-Zero" and what is the Metropolis destruction called in the movie? Black Zero.
Again, this is just fun speculation. Heck, we could get someone like Galatea from JLU as the physical threat for all we know!

I don't mind a 50/50 hybrid if they think either of those two won't appear in the DCEU down the line (i.e. no Death of Superman storyline). I would be fine if Snyder changed Doomsday's origin and make it Lex's project instead of some mad scientist on Krypton, but I don't know about the "trunkless Superman is not Superman" fanboys out there.

Yeah I'm all for speculation, especially in this thread of course. I'm in the Bizarro camp as well and that theory of yours makes a lot of damn sense to me.

Well I'd say it's pretty close to 100 percent that "something" is gonna come out of Lex tampering with Zod just based on Michael Shannon's fin comments. What that turns out to be or if the payoff will happen in this particular film, I have no idea.

I don't know why everyone is discounting Parasite as a possibility. He's often the result of a bad experiment/accident, his hands could easily become flippers, and taking away Superman's power, making him mostly mortal could be a good returning theme of the movie I think.

Ugh, Doomsday is the low hanging fruit. The easy choice. The money grab. It's starting at one of the greater threats, at the beginning. Screw the build up, it's all about the climax.

Jon Schnepp (who broke the news about Miller directing MoS 2) follows up on the rumor (he has 1 other trusted source.) George Miller has been on the Suicide Squad set to discuss directing a DC character and personally wants to direct Superman and is a huge Superman fan. Was directing Justice League: Mortal back in 2008 because of his "Superman fandom". All a progressing rumor but with backbone. Great listen:

In the follow-up video he makes it clearer that it's just a rumor. He doesn't really have any insider knowledge. It could happened. It could not. The other time he was more matter of fact and gave the impression that it was pretty much a done deal.

Everything is rumor. Even Affleck and John's The Batman. I think Campea said it best when he said it's a rumor that you can get behind with a backbone to it with timing. Schnepp, to me, plays the rumor off with tongue in cheek like he believes it's going to get done.

Either way, I'm hoping WB can just give us a confirmation and shut everyone the hell up haha.
