When I say unhinged, I mean no-****s-given, pure bloodlust mode. Not necessarily what the comics say.

Refresh my memory, but when did he use Heat vision with different widths?

There's was the invisible one that just heated a door knob.
The invisible wider one that burned that big hole in the ice.
The invisible tight beam to cauterize Lois' wounds.
The tighter beams during the Smallville fight.
I'll have to go back and look at the one inside the ship
The one during the construction fight the two beams became one wild looking beam

Makes sense that Superman can control his heat vision with Prison. It's pretty common in the comics. I remember him heating the entire planet from space once. It wouldn't surprise me if he can go as powerful as Zod's but just doesn't. The film pretty much implied that he had never tested his limits prior to meeting Jor-El.

I believe he hasn't shown his full capabilities of powers because he probably doesn't know how powerful he truly is yet and I don't think he will until the showdown in JL or MOS 2 but a small glimpse of it at the end of BvS could be possible

In the trailer when Lois is talking to Superman you can see it's night and in the background behind Supes there is the Washington Monument. So, perhaps this hearing is a dragged out affair taking a few days, as it would be in real life. So it may be a backdrop if you will for the plot. The finale may happen even before the hearings close so the thrust will be that Superman at a time when he is under deep scrutiny proves his hero bona fides by again saving the world from the machinations of another super villain.
I was thinking the bit with Lois and Kal looking at the suit was a bit of a pep talk prior to the senate hearing because Kal is probably thinking about being a no show.

yeah sounded to me like he was considering just hanging it up. after all he did, a lot of people still did not accept him. he was a divisive subject and people were probably fighting over him. And maybe there was some truth to him being a magnet for trouble. maybe it would be better to just pretend that Superman left Earth and try to live a normal life.
I'm sure that was all being considered.

I mucked around in vlc player with the gamma and contrast a bit on this shot to highlight the textures and remove a bit of the glare. I'm 99% sure that is Aquamoa. you can even see that big bushy eyebrow. that muscular back, right shoulder, the long hair it's him I'm sure of it.

While it does look like Aquamoa, it also looks like a statue and not a living person. The hair doesn't float at all.

I think he has something over his head and only a bit of hair is poking out, hence why the guy swimming is reaching towards it?>

that would depend on the current. also you can see the ends of some of his hair. statues wouldn't have that.

Looks WAAAAAAAY too skinny to me to be Aquamomoa.

Looks like a rock to me.

you have vlc player? go to that scene and do a frame by frame advance on it...that "rock" is moving. now you might say well the camera is moving but if you look closely there's movement in different directions. the diver is getting closer, the boat appears to float closer to the "rock" ,the camera does appear to shift slightly to the left just ever so slightly ,,but the "rock" moves downward just a bit in relation to all the other objects.

Oh. I thought everyone just assumed that was a rock.

For the most part we all agree on most things and accept them but since right no news is going to be scarce this is the time when we look for any new wild theory we can come up with :)

Ah... That gif makes a better case for it possibly being a muscular man the diver is reaching for. Hmm...

Snyder loves to put this stuff in there for us to find.

I also think that Brainiac symbol in the World Machine in MOS was one of his cryptic clues.
and did anyone notice those robot thingies on Krypton Jor El had kinda resembled the original Eradicator in the comics before it took a humanoid form? an oval top with a base beneath it that kinda hovered. It wasn't exactly like it but it was similar. Kelex I think they called the one in the home.

I always thought that was Aquaman from the first time i saw it. The long, thick, dark hair and the muscular back seemed to indicate to me it was Aquamamoa. Plus it looks like you can see the ink in his back as well.

He spent like 15 years as a directionless do gooder, it took him 33 years to find his purpose. Cant walk away now

You can see ink?! Oh my, I need to sue my Optometrists. lol.

Here's something that I had:

I don't recall where this came from and have no idea if this is an actual prop for BvS but hey it's an interesting preview considering that BvS is supposed to take place about 2 years after the event in MOS.
