I don't think the mansion was necessarily CGI'd in. This could be a shot with the mansion simply out of frame, couldn't it?

Yeah, from the set pics, it looks like they built a few rooms of the mansion on location then built up the rest with cgi.

Indeed. We saw set photos of Wayne Manor.

The set that they built in New Mexico could have be the Wayne Manor? It makes much more sense than saying it was Paradise Island.

im guessing that were gonna see a scene in paradise island that has the Amazons (and maybe the atlanteans?) discussing the change in the world regarding the invasion of aliens in man of steel

Not New Mexico. Only thing they built there was those two towers and ziggurat, which definitely isn't Wayne Manor. No, I was refering to the Michigan set, where mausoleum was built:

There is also a Manor:

And Bananadoc does a nice job here tying set photos we saw with scenes in a trailer:

Hmm ok. Nice find. Now, even though the New Mexico set might no really be Wayne Manor, I personally find it very hard to believe that that was Paradise Island.

It doesn't strike me as Themyscira as well. Ziggurat looks too Egyptian for starters, and those two towers are predominantly African in craft and design. There was rumor about scene that is set in African village and they were planing to shoot in Morocco and some other places in North Africa.

No one has confirmed the New Mexico set was. Some folks like to do an awful lot of presumption. Amy Adams was in Deming, New Mexico so if it is Paradise Island what's Lois doing there?

As a matter of fact, was this confirmed?

NEW PIC ALERT!
Amy Adams aka Lois Lane, was spotted in New Mexico.
The Actress went to Deming to taste a barbecue at the restaurant of Irma, Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day. Irma said:
" She was very kind and she loved our chips and salsa. Miss Adams asked for the special of the house, a barbecue which consists of chicken strips and beef chili, potatoes, beans charros and cheese blown, along with grilled jalapeños!!"
Amy Adams left his autograph, and a short message for the staff of the restaurant of Irma.

Ah, good catch. Then, yeah, it pretty much rules out Themyscira.

Though that set could stand for different locations, it's not like Snyder didn't do that before.

correcting me if im wrong but wasn't there a scene in Superman: Birthright of Clark and Lois in Africa to report some stuff and since a lot of man of steel and BvS take inspiration from that storyline then the new mexico set could be a back drop for Africa maybe?

Plus according to IMDB there were some actors and actresses cast to play some Kenyans:

or it could be the same set up i said earlier but instead of Africa its actually a Latin country which would explain the whole "day of the dead" scenes from the trailer

Yeah that's possible.

Also it could be Khandaq, one of the fake script's has Lois investigating there when it's attacked and Superman is barred from their airspace or something.

I like this theory. It actually makes sense.

Oooh, now I kinda wish Lois got shot in the middle of a war zone and Superman has to intervene...

that's an interesting concept but wouldn't take be considered going overboard with plot points and what-not in order to further establish the DCEU, i mean my biggest ever concern about this film has been (even tho i will love this film to death) is an ASM2 situation where the story gets muddled up and confusing.

its a great fear i face, not gonna lie once kept me up at night thinking about it xD

dude its one of the biggest questions in all of DC history!:

"what he superman lost it and got angry" - which is exactly why the injustice storyline is one of my story arcs recently!

That's not what happens, though. Thing is, Superman doesn't ever intervene in wars. But, if someone plans for Lois specifically to get shot, they just know he'll show up, and the minute he does, the war is over. One side surrenders. It's very interesting and something I could see this DCEU tackle.

Yep, Greg Rucka's run on Superman was really good. Miss those day's.

that is an interesting concept indeed
