Look, up in the sky! It's a tank! It's an F-5! No, it's two out of context comic images that completely disprove my point!

Or not.

I hope they'll make it a point that serious international problems come from Superman intervening in wars and choosing a side, similarly to how it was depicted in "For Tomorrow". I always liked how that was handled. There is a reason why someone like him can't simply go into foreign territory and stop a war. Not without serious repercussions, that is.

what would superman do in the face of nuclear war? my guess is that we'll have a Dr Manhattan situation of fear through power

Different universe version of Superman. No more an argument than posting images of Ultraman from the comics.

You might not know this, but some parts of Man Of Steel where inspired by Superman: Earth One. Especially the first Volume.

Earth one had the best Jonathan kent i ever read.Which MOS.l had taken that

Ah, good catch. Then, yeah, it pretty much rules out Themyscira.

Though that set could stand for different locations, it's not like Snyder didn't do that before.

Gal was there as well. Hmmm.

Shoeless did post a few pics from NM, but don't remember if he confirmed or not.

Did that actor Bailey say he was in New Mexico for the horseback stuff? Could we get a scene of Gal and Amy together?

Amy's interview back in December with Collider.

Lois is still sort of like the key to the information, you know? She’s the girl going out and getting it and figuring it out and putting it together and all of that, so she’s very much involved, but I kind of leave the heavy lifting to the boys, you know? So to speak.”
Clearly Lois will be putting those journalism skills to use, but what kind of information is she tracking down? We don’t know for sure, but her next statement could hint at what she might be up to::sly:

“They’re awesome together. It’s kind of like this big fest of muscles … it was really kind of nice. And then you add Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot and I felt very short and, yeah.”

I think posters can make whatever arguements they want and it's natural to see criticisms of MOS in the BvS threads to a certain degree.

Specially as BvS is a movie that in-narrative has continuity of themes and events with MOS.

im guessing that lois lane finds out about lex luthors secret plan to deal with superman and will be the one to tell supes and bats about it

It's possible that an inexperienced Superman (which is what we have now) might intervene in international matters - wars, for instance, and that resulting in an international incident (I would love to see that in a film).

Maybe even after JL forms - it can cause a certain debate and fracture among the league members, with their opposing viewpoints.

If they do that - it can also be a catalyst for someone like Waller to create their own team, to fight the league when necessary (like the JLA in new 52).

I hope we'll get to see this as well. And I think it is very possible something like that will happen in BvS.

It would also be an interesting recurring debate in the Justice League between the members. Sometimes it is more complicated than doing what is from moral and more simple standpoint a "right thing to do".

I dont want to see an inexperienced Superman anymore...let get him to a point where he knows what he is doing and feels confident.

I would like to see more character development for Superman & an inexperienced Superman would be an interesting way to go as we watch him grow. I really liked watching him grow in a movie that shall not be named (a movie that made superman my fav superhero)

Unfortunately, superman seems to be a character that many people just don't want to see be anything short of smiley & hopeful. I think people would be upset if he had to struggle in such a fashion. Struggling has to be something like, struggling (but succeeding) in saving people while in the midst of a fight.

Agreed.

The white martian storyline from Morrison's JLA should work, if they want to go that way (although that might not work initially...since the League in that story line was composed of experienced members).

Well, to know what he's doing, he has to gain experience, and that takes time. In the new 52, they simply skipped 5 years - so we had a more experienced Superman. Doubt they will do the same in the movieverse - BvS seems to happen right after MOS.

I wonder if there's an international incident involving the Russian rocket? Even though he saved the cosmonauts the Russians suspect he destroyed the rocket? Maybe they had some secret military mission it was doing? And of course the US gets the blame because Supes is from the US and they think he's working for the govt.
