I think Amazo would be perfect, but it will prolly be something/someone we don't expect.
He11, For all we know, they may not even be a physical threat, just Lex playing both sides against each other.
I hope that's not the case, but you never know.

FOR ME, The best case would be to have a villain like omac, amazo, or brainiac , or maybe someone like Kalibak or Doomsday. Perhaps the physical villain in BvS is sent by the threat we will see in JL part 1.

worst case is no physical threat at all.

No physical villain at all, at least for the final act of the movie would be a disappointment.

Thanks for the info. The only thing that would have surprised me at all would be the
Kryptonite bullet
if we hadn't already seen that hinted at in the Lego sets. Its too bad you hadn't shared this before because if we had this before the Lego sets, then it would have supported your statement. But as of now, it doesn't really do too much.

I didn't see the Lego sets.

I just passed on bits of info that my friend told me. His words (originally in portuguese) were:
Dude, you're beloved Superman gets one hell of a beating from Doomsday!! Wonder Woman comes and help them (Supes and Bats). Don't think he (Superman) dies.

And
Batman shoots Superman with a rifle using a Kryptonite bullet.

That's all I got. I wish I had some way to support this, but I can only paraphrase what I heard. I come in good faith.

I reall want to believe people, and maybe it turns out your right,
But so many rumors on reddit/4chan/IMDB etc start with the phrase a friend of mine....
Also we just had another visual effects guys say that there was no doomsday in the movie

I agree with you. There's so much BS flying around that it's hard to believe anything starting with "a friend of mine told me..."

However, if I could make my brother sign up here and corroborate what I said... He was with me when our friend disclosed the info. He was trying to piss me off saying that
Superman got his ass handled to me by Lex's Doomsday monster.

Like I said before, just wanted to share what I heard. Don't know if it's BS or not. I tend to believe it knowing that the person who told me is a childhood close friend.

My two cents? Forget OMAC, Braniac (for now), Metallo and other *obscure* (for the general moviegoers) as a BvS villain.

WB will stick with villains that the average joe recognizes. Remember that the studio is putting all its wood behind one arrow. If BvS is a box office Titan, the DC cinematic universe is a go.

Would you bet this future of a multibillion franchise(s) on characters that most people can't relate? I would stick with what "sells" and everybody knows that Doomsday killed Superman in the comics.

Do they? I wouldn't bet on it. I think it's all the same when it comes to general audience. What I'd do is go with a villain that fits the story best and that doesn't need much explaining (given that we already have Luthor as main villain and antagonism between Batman and Superman for majority of the film) and OMAC and Metallo fit that as much as Doomsday does. Doomsday is not a better choice by any measure.

The bolded is contradictory to your entire post. Why would WB kill off Superman if they're trying to build a Justice League? If we go by the logic of your post, That doesn't help at all when trying to get the average goer to stick to the DCCU.

I think Doomsday is to obvious. We can't rule him out but my money is on it being another villain..

I'm not saying that the cinematic version of Doomsday will kill Superman early in this universe. Maybe he won't kill him at all. Maybe this Doomsday version is created from Zod's body. Maybe this Doomsday my friend told me is in fact a Bizarro?

People recognize Doomsday (or Apocalipse, here in Brazil) as the villain that brought Superman down for real. He is very recognizable. I understand that OMAC, Bizarro, Parasite, Metallo could all fit the bill as the physical villain of the movie, but I think Doomsday has a better ring to it.

And once he is revealed it would create a strong pre-climax for the final showdown. People will be confused: "Warner Bros is going to kill Superman?" "Noooo, that's not possible..." They could do as far to leave the impression Superman was killed and set a cliffhanger for JLA Part 1 (heroes must band together once and for all... Superman got (almost) killed...).

My money would still be on Doomsday.
It throws me off though how obvious of a choice it would be. It makes me feel like, "wouldn't Snyder want to bring something fans aren't expecting?"

Holy %#$%$ I didn't see your post before just making mine, but am in total agreement

No, the worst case is Vic Stone/Cyborg or Aquaman being the physical threat(s)

Actually if done right, that could be decent.

I'm actually surprised this hasn't been one of the popular theories in the OMAC vs Doomsday vs Bizarro vs Amazo debate. For instance, the heat vision blast aiming at Batman might be from Cyborg and Zack Snyder had mentioned something (albeit jokingly) about Aquaman's trident being able to pierce Superman's skin.

As amazing as an Aquaman or Cyborg versus the Trinity sounds I still think it might be excessive superhero versus superhero fighting especially if the headlining fight is Batman vs Superman.

It would depend on the motivation/manipulation of why it happens really. Although the rumor is that Aquaman is being held captive and gets rescued by the trinity. Can't wait to see how everything works out

All I know that is if it is Doomsday I will be disappointed.

I wouldn't be disappointed with Doomsday. I will just hope they handle it in a fresh way. It does seem like the easy obvious go to though :o I will still take it over no physical villain added in.

I'm expecting a ''holy shet'' moment when the villain is shown, like we got when superman snapped zod's neck.
I can't help but think this villain is somehow gonna be tied to the main villain in JL part 1.

The average joe also knows who Bizarro is.

Yes, maybe not as much as Doomsday (not taking into account that Lex is to Superman, what Joker is to Bats), but yes, Bizarro is very well known.

My only fear here is if Zac and co. mashed up Doomsday and Bizarro. I mean, Lex used Zod's body to cook up a monster like Doomsday with some of Superman's powers...

I feel like more people know about Bizarro than Doomsday. The word "Bizarro" itself is planted pretty firmly in the cultural lexicon (in the US at least) and people generally seem to mean an opposite version of something when they use it. I've personally never heard an off-the-cuff reference to Doomsday from the average joe, but maybe that's just my experience.
