BvS The BvS Rumor/Speculation Discussion Thread!

If you step back and think about things you can cut the rumor from the truth. If I said describe the bat suit...you'd say: "Black and grey, short ears, black cowl and cape and gloves and boots, grey bodysuit, maybe a black bat, not heavy armored like the other suits. Very Frank Miller/Jim Lee."

Those are descriptive words.

Now time travel back before we saw the suit....if someone said this: "The costume will be some variation of the suit from the comics, it's very comics based and not like the Nolan suit"

Those are vague phrases. And when the suit comes out...'oh look we were right because it is like the comics and not like the nolan suit."

so back to the Faraci rumor...
We are expected to believe that Batman was an urban legend for all this time, going through multiple Robins...that to me is where it doesn't add up.

This. So much this. I remember before MoS released, a user on Neogaf said he had watched the movie and gave a "review" of it, I actually doubt to this day whether he actually saw the movie. His review was long, but was basically a whole lot of nothing, it was stuff like "The soundtrack was amazing and complemented the action scenes really well" which is basically the most generic thing ever.

Anytime someone claims they've seen something early I always ask them at least one or two VERY specific questions about the movie. Whenever they dish out the, "I was in the washroom for that part", or "I don't really remember exactly, but I think..." then you know it's bogus.

I remember the first person to see TASM 2 straight up called out that the Rhino scene was the closing scene of the movie. Everyone was under the impression he'd be a villain he'd face at the beginning. One user even went out of his way to piece together images and set pics to try and prove he was wrong. It all backfired, he was 100% right.

Let's examine what was 'rumored':
My sources indicate that when BvS opens Batman has existed for close to thirty years, which would place Wayne in his 50s (which is why I expected more grey in Affleck's hair). In this version Batman is still an urban legend, a creature of the night, and no one has ever taken his picture. But he's had plenty of adventures, and the Batcave includes a memorial centered around a tattered Robin costume.

Where have I heard this all before???
Batman as an urban legend is fan theory and not from the filmmakers.
A Batcave with a Robin memorial???

Exactly.

If all this is true... i look forward to one day seeing a TDKR inspired battle between Joker and Batman.

I seriously watch TDKR part 2 all the time just for that ****ing amazing scene. It just blows me away.

The only thing i would change is Joker's last words...

He says "see you in hell" then he breaks his own neck.

I'd change it to "see you in hell.......Bruce"

It's also interesting how Faraci arrives at Bruce Wayne's age in the film.

".. which would place Wayne in his 50s .."

Why? Without knowing for sure that this particular incarnation of Wayne started out in his twenties, you can't really extrapolate that he's 50-something. At most, you can just speculate.

Well it can't be much younger than that, can it? Unless we're to accept a vigilante Bruce in his very early teens. The only other way to go is older.

That's my point. Faraci doesn't know how old this Bruce was when he began his crusade (he could have been in his thirties). His statement implies that 50-something is a given for Bruce's current age, however; and, again, that's dependent on the character starting out in his twenties.

i wonder will they really tell the age of batman / bruce wayne in the movie?
i think there is a mistake/unnecessary for superman to exactly tell how old he is in MOS.

Have you known that the supposedly leaked script (again), the poster was "threatened" by some of the production :funny: yeah they warn first. And of course IMO all was created to seem that way not to mention this is pure fanfiction.

Does anyone have more info about it?

I feel like that Arthur Currey marine biologist thing has been around since before the movie was even announced.

I just feel that those called scripts are a sum up of all the fans wishes or rumors and then taking them all in one script. Some parts sounded that were mencioned but some are just off IMO.

This is a false rumor. The 'leaker' claims to be a location scout. Location scouts would not have access to a script...especially on a film this secretive. The most a location scout would receive would be: "Need a building that looks like a fortune 500 company's HQ".

He would not know about fight scenes...romances and characters alive or dead.

SPOILER ALERT!!! Not sure if it's legit, but if someone's interested....

We recently received a tip from an extra who was working on the Detroit set of Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Apparently, he worked on the production for ten days, and while he was there he learned a few things about the movie that I thought I'd share.
Since we have no confirmation that any of the following information is true, we'll consider it a rumor for now. I will also throw out a SPOILER warning just to make sure you know that you don't have to read ahead if you don't want to.
According to the extra, the ending of the film has already been filmed. One of the scenes shot featured Batman breaking into Lexcorp to steal kryptonite, and apparently Lexcorp had somehow gotten ahold of General Zod's body.
He went on to talk about the timeframe of the movie and where it picks up, saying that it starts "as the battle between Superman and General Zod ends or is ending (which would explain all the damaged buildings and vehicles we've been seeing in photos) and Batman/Bruce Wayne is attempting to make his way to the Wayne tower in Metropolis."
That's all the information that he had to offer, but there's a few nuggets of information there I thought some of you might find interesting. I just can't wait to see these two superheroes finally face off on the big screen. The footage screened at Comic-Con was epic, and the crowd in attendance was definitely sold on it.

Nah I can believe they've shot the ending as films are done out of sequence so that's not earth shattering info but the rest nope.

And an extra also has to sign a non disclosure form.

Also sounds like fan fic, I have heard that said before as part of a , "what if..." discussion.

Yeah specially the Zod's body stuff. that's been discussed here.
