The DKR influences in the DCEU have only been cosmetic so far. Not really in characterization, bruce isnt evenas old as he is in DKR.

I don't see how that became a natural stage of evolution for her character... then again, it was Frank Miller who made it so.

But I enjoy the idea of seeing the heroes and villains being a little older and wiser like Batman himself.

As for Selina being aged... if Batman is still in his physical prime at 40-odd, then I don't see why she shouldn't be. But at the same time, I sort of want the experiences that comes with life to have an affect on her characterisation... perhaps in semi-retirement or something... because I'm really not interested in seeing a young actress portraying a Catwoman who is revealed to have been around for some time and has a history with Batman, but shows nothing other than that familiar mischievous, fun-loving and flirtatious attitude...

I sort of see the relationship being at a completely burned-out stage... sort of like when you see Walter and Skyler's final meeting in Breaking Bad's finale. Because we have to remember that Batman was darker and more hostile before his reform at the end of BvS... I wonder if that had any affect on his relationship with Selina? Would be nice to explore any potential damage.

She and Bruce definitely need a history in their background, that's for sure. Don't know if I'd want it burned out, as you'd said, or tense but amicable, or accepting and ambiguous, but they would need a clear chemistry that's worked for a while.

I think regardless, she should know who he is. It's more fun to have a Catwoman who operates with that knowledge poking Bruce at dinner functions or in the suit than to have her not know.

Just something that addresses Batfleck's fall into the dark side. Anything that adds a bit of different meat to the relationship.

Yes, yes, yes, I definitely agree with this. To me, it'd only serve to enhance their relationship by having both know their secret identities.

And c'mon, it's kind of a disservice for the two to interact so long and for her not to figure out who's underneath. Selina's a very intelligent woman.

She has looks & charisma. Good age next to Affleck.

Exactly. I'd love to see that conflicted nature of their relationship really brought out since they are on different sides when it really boils down. Would be nice to see them teaming up, too. I know it happened in TDKR, but somehow it wasn't as gratifying as it should've been.

Same. Keri Russell and Marion Cotillard were my favourite choices for Selina. I'm definitely routing for Russell again.

Atwell's curvaceous shape prevents me from imagining her as the successful and athletic cat burger that Selina is.

Selina is pretty much always drawn as being curvaceous so if that's holding Atwell back, the whole character should be revamped.

Voluptuous for her slender, sleek frame. Atwell's body has always been curvy... but going by her size now... I might take what I said above back:

She's slimmed down a lot.

I'm not sure if that's true. She has customarily been depicted as tall, slender and athletic, with huge ****. If we are going to cast an actress who is by some measure an ordinary woman and not a surgically enhanced sex-android, we will have to accept some selection of the above.

Atwell's size is just about right now.

Newmar was absolutely perfect, physically, for the role. The woman was an absolute goddess, but I don't think it would be right to hold parity with her form as the foremost selector for the next Catwoman.
