For purple suits this could work.

The texture and lines make for some cool design. Just make it more dark purple then it would be fine. Plain purple is dumb.

It’d have to be like...plum purple for me to get on board with it.

The thing is... it'd be dark purple.

In the night.

In the bloody dark.

At that point you might as well just make it black.

Cristina Rodlo, who a couple of people have suggested in previous posts has expressed interest in an Instagram comment section for Catwoman. Hopefully she gets an audition at least

You do understand night doesn’t equal absence of light.

It’s a metropolitan city. They tend to have large amounts of electricity running these things called lights. Inside buildings, streetlights, etc.

Daredevil wore dark red. It didn’t blend into the darkness.Neither did the black suit.

I can't look at Eiza the same way after seeing her pre-surgery pictures.

I'd prefer Adria Arjona from True Detective and Good Omens. Just as sexy but didn't cheat to get there.

I still can't get over the fact that Eiza Gonzalez is really loved in America but really hated in Mexico.

Also I don't have anything against people that do plastic surgery but it does really have an effect on how well they can act in terms of expressions and so on. I've noticed people with facial surgery sometimes can't quite express the same nuances in performance people that didn't have it can.

As far as latinas goes, Adria Arjona, Ana de Armas and Cristina Rodlo are my top choices.

And well if you can't cast Margot you can always cast Emma Mackey.

Just look at her. It's practically her clone.

Still hoping Sonoya at least gets an audition. She's not a super well known name, but hopefully the Reeves connection helps her.

The chemistry thing is gonna be really important in this case though and it'll be interesting to see how the shortlist for Catwoman ultimately ends up being once chemistry tests start happening.
Pattinson, though a great actor, isn't exactly the type that can develop romantic or even sexual chemistry onsceen with anybody.

He didn't have it with Reese Witherspoon in an otherwise pretty decent flick (Water for the Elephants), didn't have it with Uma Thurman in Bel Ami, and while the Twilight films had terrible scripts and terrible direction, he should've at least been able to have chemistry with Kirsten Stewart since she was well, his real girlfriend and that as far as I can see wasn't the case. And heck, if he wasn't able to have chemistry onscreen with his real girlfriend that means he really needs someone ridiculously specific to have chemistry with.

The only actresses I've seen him have chemistry with are Emilie de Ravin (Remember Me) and
Mia Wasikowska (Map to the Stars, but even then they probably had it in that movie because they get along well in real life and in that movie they were basically playing themselves)

Honestly I don't know if I'd hold Twilight against Pattinson in this particular situation, as part of the problem is that there's no inherent chemistry between Edward and Bella to begin with anyway as characters. When the scripts are bad, the characters don't click and the directors aren't necessarily doing their best in guiding the actors, I think you'd be surprised at how bad those results can get.

However your larger point in general is potentially valid. Christian Bale had that issue and it seems to be a big reason for why Anne Hathaway's Catwoman isn't remembered quite as fondly as Michelle Pfeiffer's portrayal, despite Hathaway having a more generally accurate portrayal of the character and providing a strong performance in the role.

That said, I think it's also worth keeping in mind that part of what happened with TDKR might also lay part of the blame on Nolan. He also seems to struggle with depicting women in a confident manner in his films. I'm not sure that Reeves would have that issue, so that could help balance things out even if Pattinson doesn't quite have the most magnetic chemistry with whoever lands Selina.

The problem with Nolan wasn't his way of depicting female characters, I think he did a decent job with Rachel and Selina since they were quite good characters actually... the problem was I feel he didn't know how to exactly depict them in relation to Batman, and wasn't exactly able to figure out how to write a romantic relationship involving him.

We'll see what Reeves does and who he chooses.

That's kind of what I was getting at. Nolan tends to struggle with romance in general, especially when it pertains to the women characters of his films.

Well hopefully she has good agents.

Funny you mention that, it turns out that Rodlo was just signed on by CAA earlier this month. That could bode very well for her odds at getting an audition for Catwoman at least, as CAA is a high profile agency company in the entertainment industry.

Looks like I'll have to go watch Too Old to Die Young now. Especially a certain Ed Brubaker apparently co-wrote the show...
