I remember when I first watched/heard that in the theater and thinking to myself "Oh ****! I actually find Batman intimidating."
I think the first time I saw TDK in IMAX and saw Batman on a nine story screen yelling "where are they?!" that sounded like thunderclaps coming off of those massive speakers, I was left speechless. I seriously thought Batman was going to kill The Joker right then and there. Bale really was The Dark Knight of the interrogation scene - how he went from a stoic, silent and motionless figure into an absolutely uncontrollable raging beast was just amazing. Whenever I watch that scene on DVD, I always enjoy watching Batman a lot more than I do The Joker (despite how good he was). It really reminds me of the scene from Hush in which The Joker finally pushes Batman to the limit.
