The Clinton Thread II - Part 2

What message does it send that we cover up war crimes? Why is the major concern with those that leak as opposed to those who do the actual actions? You act like she was Benedict Arnold, while we have people actually killing innocent human beings.

Also, why must you continue to use male pronouns?

I'm not saying they should cover up war crimes. But the military / government isn't going to let people get away with giving up hundreds of thousands of classified documents because they're trying to impress their online friends. Manning committed treason and he knew it. So yes, there need to be consequences.

Benedict Arnold should have been hanged. I think Manning should get a year or two in prison and then be put on probation. So, I don't treat them the same.

Why must you continue to call her a "he"? It is Chelsea Manning now. What is your problem with that?

Honestly, I just enjoy getting a rise out of you.
By showing a high level of ignorance towards a situation that leads to a heavy amount of suicides every year? Yeah, you really got me and it reflects well upon you.

I have this mental image of you as PC Principal from South Park.
If it makes me PC to respect someones right to be who they are, then call me PC all you want. Far better then being a bigot. Something I would hope some would learn from this election, but alas.

The point remains, then-Bradely Manning knew what he was doing. They threw the book at him, or her, if you insist. Perhaps a bit hard, but they couldn't let someone steal 700,000 classified documents and do nothing.

I'm sure Manning will eventually get a pardon or have her sentence commuted. I wouldn't hold my breath with Obama though. He's already perceived as soft.

And what exactly happened to those who did those horrible things? Why is she put in prison for blowing the whistle while those who did the acts don't? Why purse her as opposed to those who committed war crimes?

Also nice playing off a lack of common decency as a joke.

Cause she was dumb enough to do in a way to be caught (using the handle Bradass87). Oh and our justice system is broken.

To be fair, I treat everything as a joke. This world and everyone in it is a joke.

WikiLeaks’ Julian Assange On ‘Destroying’ Hillary Clinton: “There’s Been A Lot Of Misquoting”

https://www.yahoo.com/news/wikileaks-julian-assange-destroying-hillary-112912868.html

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange set the record straight on a couple of hot-button issues this morning during a press conference in Berlin. Appearing via Skype, Assange said that while his organization will release a raft of documents before the November 8 presidential election, suggestions that they would “destroy” Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign were the result of misquotes. Further regarding both Clinton and her opponent, Donald Trump, Assange said he felt sorry for them: “They are two people that are tormented by their ambitions in different ways.”

The press conference was highly-anticipated, particularly by the Clinton opposition, after former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone tweeted earlier this week:

Wednesday@HillaryClinton is done. #Wikileaks.

— Roger Stone (@RogerJStoneJr) October 2, 2016

There are about one million documents to be released by year’s end. Some will come this week and are “significant in relation to the upcoming U.S. election,” Assange said. Asked directly if the docs will “destroy Clinton.” He answered, “There’s been a lot of misquoting of me and WikiLeaks publications. In this particular case, the misquoting has to do with that we intend, or I intend, to harm Hillary Clinton or that I don’t like Hillary Clinton. All those are false. They come about as a result it seems of this campaign and those who are trying to personalize our publications.”

What is coming will be published every week for the next 10 weeks with all election-related docs to hit before November 8. “Do they show interesting features of U.S. power factions and how they operate?” Assange mused. “Yes, they do.” He added that overall there is “significant material on war, arms, oil, Google, the election and mass surveillance.”

So basically it was a lot of hot air and just business as usual.

There are some 24/7 Trump news article comment section residents who have staked everything on this. I think they are going to be going awol for a while lol.

I created the Politics forums 9 years ago....and it still stands! *wipes a tear from his eye*

Guccifer hacked into the Clinton Foundation.

It still stands, but with many casualties along the way. ;)

Thats why snowden sent it to the press. The press has teams who have the job of going through data and determining what can or cant be released. There would have been no sense for Snowden to attempt to redact anything. He isnt even qualified to determine that. Ans unlike the press he can't just follow sources and investigate. The press is protected in ways a hacker isnt. And he is only one man. The press are much more equipped to sort through that data than Snowden or Assange. So no Snowden is not equally responsible. He did the right thing sending it to the press.

The press is qualified? lol

Snowden endangered lives. He's just as irresponsible. You pull the trigger regardless of intent and he's too cowardly to face the consequences. Liberals love him for some reason when it was Obama that agreed to that huge NSA facility.

Yes. They literally have staff and lawyers for this. Did you not realize this?

And he is cowardly? He exposed something that needed to be exposed, something the government clearly shouldn't have been doing, and yet he is the one who is is coward. Why do people get mad at the whistle blowers, and not those doing this crap? Better to do horrible, illegal things, including murder, then be a "rat". Why?
