The Clinton Thread II - Part 2

It has to be good enough. There's no one else to vote for, unless you just don't vote. Which really, is still essentially a vote in itself.

Because it makes an already weak candidate look weaker.

Again, there is no alternative. Really. It's Gary Johnson, Harambe or Deez Nuts.

It's her, or Trump. It's her or the guy who talks about using nuclear weapons and calls for war crimes.

I have faith that Hillary won't destroy this country. I honestly cannot say that about Trump. I disliked Mitt Romney, but he was a sane person. Trump, I just don't know. He scares me.

At this point, it just seems like an empty rant. There's no way around it. We are stuck with these choices. No matter what is said about either, we are stuck with them. So there's really no point to arguing Clinton's merits or lack thereof because it's either her or Trump. We are literally stuck with a choice of being potentially lied to for 4 years, or worrying about giving nuclear codes to a 5 year old for 4 years. Yea, neither are good, but the choice is obvious.

Normatively I agree with you both, I understand the pragmatics for Americans but my critique is mainly in regard to political discourse now - it's a bullet dodged if Trump doesn't get elected but it's set a precedent for any brainless fool with enough PR behind him to make a play at the White House. The reasonable Americans hopefully realize this has been the political equivalent of a crack binge.

I love how media is upset they weren't told earlier she had pneumonia. I don't know, maybe because everyone was going crazy about what sort of mental illness she had, that if she offered it, they would just say it's a cover-up anyway?

The media demands that they get Hillary's medical condition immediately, and yet they're silent when it comes to Trump's tax records after how many months?

Give me a break, it's the way she's handled this is causing it to be a bigger problem. Why didn't her team say that she left due to pneumonia that caused her to become dehydrated? They didn't start talking about the pneumonia diagnosis until after the video of her passing out was up on the internet. They thought nobody would see it because they told the press they could no longer cover Hillary when she left the memorial.

That's what makes it more suspect, I don't know, maybe she did have a diagnosis of pneumonia and I don't think they needed to tell us Friday, but like I said I don't know why that's not the first thing out of their mouth when she had to leave early if that was the case. Instead they had to add it on hours later to their original story that she became dehydrated when people were starting to make it a big deal after the video came out.

I'll just quote David Axelrod "Antibiotics can take care of pneumonia. What's the cure for an unhealthy penchant for privacy that repeatedly creates unnecessary problems?"

It's stuff like this that causes many Americans to not trust her.

You proved my point. Everything the Clinton do is some part of a conspiracy. They tell the truth, it's "Why didn't you say it as soon as you find out?"

Did they tell the truth? A lie of omission is a lie in my book, that's how I was raised. I also clearly stated that they didn't need to release it as soon as they found out, but they could have released it as soon as it was relevant i.e. passing out at a memorial and having to leave early. That's when you say well she has pneumonia, but she tried to power through because she wanted to honor all those in 9/11. Instead they say she is dehydrated then add on that she has pneumonia hours later after the video is released which they thought they could suppress after telling the media they could not follow her...but they seemingly forgot about the fact people have cell phones...their behavior makes it suspect like Axelrod stated.

Do you have the same demand for transparency for Clinton as you do for Trump?

Trump is a gigantic liar and while I won't be voting for either Clinton or Trump I will breath a sigh of relief if Trump loses. That doesn't change the fact that Clinton and her campaign deserve criticism here and that she's making a mountain out of a mole hill. She literally made her health the story because she chose to lie about it.

You need to vote for his opponent then. Otherwise you're doing little more than crossing your fingers and hoping for the best. If it was a typical Republican running I could see how people could justify the third party vote, but this election has far too much at stake. Hillary is a typical politician and will do typical politician stuff in office. Trump is a narcissistic mega psychopath who is a clear and present threat to this country's safety and security. I'm not happy about having to vote for Hillary either, but I understand that alternative and I will hold my nose and cast that vote if it means I've done my part to stop Trump.

Please don't tell me how to vote. I live in California and California's electoral votes are safely with Clinton. I will not vote for either of the candidates and will either vote for Gary Johnson or write in Paul Ryan or Joe Biden.

Yeah. I have mainly voted Republican in the past. But, I am voting for Hillary because Trump and his rhetoric needs to be very clearly shut down. He has already done enough damage to the US.

Clinton campaign: We will release more health records

https://www.yahoo.com/news/clinton-campaign-we-will-release-more-health-records-171430688.html

“We have been in touch with her physician this morning to get the material together,” Fallon said in the interview. He said the information will address “lingering concerns,” and will reveal no other condition aside from pneumonia.

....

Fallon told NBC’s Andrea Mitchell that Clinton did not lose consciousness, but felt “dizzy” after she became overheated. He said she was making calls from within the van and was “chasing” around her granddaughter once she arrived at Chelsea’s apartment. Clinton has been told by her doctor that she’s not contagious, Fallon said in a later interview with CNN.

“If it was up to her, she’d be traveling to California today, but it was her doctor’s advice to change her schedule,” he said.

....

Earlier Monday Palmieri tweeted, “We could have done better yesterday,” but added that the “public knows more about HRC than any nominee in history.”

Donald Trump, 70, and Clinton, 68, have both released doctors’ notes saying they are in good health. Trump’s is only four paragraphs long, while Clinton’s physician’s letter is two pages long. Fallon pointed out that Trump’s letter did not disclose his blood pressure, suggesting Clinton has met a higher standard than he has on health disclosure.

Meanwhile, Trump said Monday that he recently had a physical and would be releasing the results soon.

“I’ll be releasing — when the numbers come, hopefully they are going to be good, I think they are going to be good, I feel great — but when the numbers come in, I’ll be releasing very, very specific numbers,” he said on Fox News.

When forced out of options, HRC can be transparent. The same can't be said for Trump though. Yet somehow the onus is always on HRC, but Trump is just being Trump. All same things Trump does that HRC is accused of just gets mentioned and glossed over, while there's a microscopic coverage on every single HRC scandal and criticism. Now I'm not saying HRC is a saint, both candidates are not the very best we got. But you can't help but feel there is definitely some sexism involved in here.

I know. Let's throw Hillary in a lake. If she drowns, we know she was too sick to swim and was telling the truth. If she swims, we should hang her for lying about being sick.

No need, we are in an age of science and there there are ways of measuring these things. Now all we need are a large set of scales and a duck. :cwink:

That sounds like a punchline to a really dirty joke I'm not familiar with.

Ah ok, I've never really gotten into Monty Python, which is weird because I do love dry British humor.

To be honest, considering her V.P. is the only person on the main tickets I'd actually WANT running the country, I'm not too terribly concerned about Hillary's health. If Trump gets sick, we'd be stuck with Pence who, while still an upgrade, is less than ideal.

I'm no fan of Trump or Clinton... in fact hate them both dearly. If Bill Weld was at the top of the libertarian ticket I'd vote that way (Johnson is a weirdo)... but that was not pneumonia that caused that reaction. She may in fact actually have pneumonia but that was a seizure like moment if I've ever seen one.

Not to mention she was literally the only person on camera during that incident wearing glasses... glasses that also happen to be the color blue. Do yourself a favor and google blue glasses if you want to research on your own why someone would be wearing this particular eye wear.

Can you supply us with proof of your Medical Credentials?

Ten seconds on Google later.....blue glasses can give relief for Parkinson's....incidentally, pneumonia is also a complication of Parkinson's.

Hmmmmmmmm.

Why does this election keep seeming like a really bad season of some kind of day time soap opera? I mean is Nixon going to come back to life now?

Hey guys I wear blue glasses. Must have parkinsons and siezures.:o

For the record, Id vote for a person with parkinsons and siezures before Id vote for Trump. Ill take her health problems and Kaine over Trump and Pence any day.

Haha I work in the optical field and blue blocking glasses are all the rage right now. The main reason millions of Americans are paying extra to block blue light is because it is the main cause of macular degeneration which is the leading cause of blindness in older people. Also, the lenses don't have to be "blue" to be blue blocking lenses. If a rich person is wearing blue glasses it's because they want the color to be blue.
