The Clinton Thread II - Part 2

Ten seconds on Google later.....blue glasses can give relief for Parkinson's....incidentally, pneumonia is also a complication of Parkinson's.

Hmmmmmmmm.

Not to mention the info dump from wiki leaks/assange contained e-mails that had clinton staffers asking for information on parkinson's medication.

Why does this election keep seeming like a really bad season of some kind of day time soap opera? I mean is Nixon going to come back to life now?

...the last moments of the sweeps week mid-season finale....tough family matriarch Hillary Rodham Clinton has finally taken the stage for her long-awaited face-off with this season's villain, hammily evil business mogul Donald Trump...

TRUMP (cartoonishly overacted evil sneer): "Why don't you tell the American people the truth, Mrs. Clinton?"

[Hillary Rodham Clinton gazes soulfully up at the studio lights shining flatteringly on her face at just the right angle.

CLINTON: "The truth....that I only have three weeks to live....?"

[dramatic music and fade to black, as "to be continued" scrawls across the screen]

Hey guys I wear blue glasses. Must have parkinsons and siezures.:o

For the record, Id vote for a person with parkinsons and siezures before Id vote for Trump. Ill take her health problems and Kaine over Trump and Pence any day.

Fair enough. Again I'm not voting for either one of these bozo's it's just that video is so jarring to watch and frankly it's hard not to see there's something more going on there than a case of pneumonia.

Did people fret about McCain's health this much?

Feels like Clinton is getting the raw end of the deal because...? She's a woman? She's old? I mean the amount of times that CNN replayed her fainting spell was so over the top. A US general fainted at a Senate hearing on Afghanistan and his health wasn't called into question by the media over and over (and over and over) again.

You ever had pneumonia? I have. It can put you on your ass. Standing outside for an extended period of time while sick with pneumonia is enough to put a young person on their ass. A 69 year old even more so. Frankly, Im amazed she wasnt at home in bed.

Pneumonia more than accounts for what happened.

I do remember his recurring skin cancer being brought up quite a bit.

I did when I was younger yes. Felt like a horrible case of the flu. Again, I'm not contesting that she has pneumonia. I will however say that I have family that have seizures at a regular clip and am very familiar with what they look like.

McCain was lucky that he had Palin to take all the heat.

But I do remember his health being an issue as well. Well, his team released his medical documents showing he had cancer before so maybe that was why...

Are you familiar with Hugh?

FDR had polio while he was in office - and there was no apocalypse. Besides, Kaine seems alright if health complications should arise.

edit - or maybe Parkinson's; haven't had history since high school.

What happens if the main candidate actually does have an issue? Is the VP likely to get put forward as the replacement?

:hehe:

Get this script going - imminent Emmy awards are the only logical conclusion.

Kaine is status quo.

This was supposed to be an agent of change election. Unfortunately... we got agent Orange vs status quo.

As a libertarian this has been such a disaster of an election cycle. I wanted someone that could come in and break up the gridlock in congress. Instead we get a goofball who will go in with a wreckingball and chop of the head of anyone who dares disagree with him (if he wins).

There's no modern precedent that I know of.

FDR and his people actually hid the fact he had polio while in office until it became clear they could no longer hide it from the public. Different time back then so I'm not sure how that would have affected his re-election chances if the public was aware at the time.

What Happens if Hillary Drops Out for Health Reasons

According to this if she dropped out before the election the Democratic Party leadership would come together and it would be decided by a majority vote of the Committee members.

If it happened between an election win and the electors meeting it would get messy, but likely the same thing would end up happening.

If it happened between the electors meeting and the Presidential inauguration then it would work like if a President died in office with the VP becoming President.

Thanks. So outside of Kaine they also mention Joe Biden. Wonder if Sanders would have any shot or if he gets automatically ruled out or something along those lines.

I think he could have been a zombie and they would have reelected him.

With Hillary it's a huge issue. She's already so unpopular.

Sanders isn't even a Democrat anymore, he has already dropped his membership and is back to being an independent so I can't see the DNC going with him (which Sanders supporter won't be happy about). But yet Kaine, Biden and Sanders seem to be the ones everyone keeps mentioning.

Some of my more liberal friends were secretly hoping for something like this to happen. An issue where Hilary has to step aside for whatever reason (health/allegations/etc.) because anyone of the backup options Biden/Kaine/Sanders would absolutely mop the floor with Trump in the electoral college.

Oh right, didn't know that. Maybe no other credible candidates high profile enough?

Eh, there's also stuff about Pence and David Duke trending on twitter. That's probably more relevant tbh. The link about the body double is Alex Jones-tier BS. No one's buying it.

I googled "hillary dropping out." amid all the info warsy links, there's one saying the DNC shut that rumor down.
