The Clinton Thread II

What is it with you Bernie people? I mean come on, Hillary is no where near as bad as Trump and you're willing to risk Trump winning just because the primaries aren't going your way?

I don't like Hillary either, but this is one is a no brainer when it comes to picking between her or Trump/Cruz.

I always say I rather win with somebody I agree with 60% of the time with, then lose with a guy I agree with 90% of the time

Same thing I've been thinking. Hillary's okay, but even if I didn't like her, I'd still vote for her to keep Trump & the others out. Except for Sanders, they're all like little children desperately trying to have the last word over one another. It's absurd that anyone seriously believes they should be running for President. Sanders, on the other hand, just doesn't seem like a guy who would actually get anything accomplished while in office or make anything anywhere near close to a change.

I don't think it'll happen but if Trump gets elected this country is doomed.

I have no clue how a Trump Presidency would go. I honestly believe his ego is so big he wants to get his face engraved on Mount Rushmore above the other 4 Presidents so he might go out of his way to be the most popular president ever

Thing is, it's the Presidents' job to oversee the country & make sure it is running well, that its people are safe, etc. not to be popular. Trump has no idea how to be President. And given how childish his mentality is compared to his massive ego, I could see him ruining a great many of things.

Fair enough argument and that is the scary part. All that being said I am guessing his policy would be dictated on what polling says is popular, partisan politics be damned. Personally if I was Trump I would get a General to be Vice President because that to me would be his weak area.

I would think Hillary supporters would want Cruz to win, because while Trump has at least a puncher's chance... Cruz looks like he was already punched in his face :o

I personally want Cruz. Trump scares me in the sense I think he will take any side of an issue that wins him support and in that regard he can win over alot of middle of the road voters, plus the anti Hillary side. Cruz has a more ideological viewpoint it will be easy to bring him down once you point out some of his viewpoints on the issues.

I'll be voting for Hillary in November. People complain about her being a liar but all politicians (and people, for the most part) are liars so in this game its about choosing the best one. I'm not a fan of anything I've seen from Trump, Cruz, Rubio or even Sanders.

So yeah, I'll definitely be voting for her. Especially if it comes down to her and Trump. He needs to stay as far away from a presidency as possible.

You're sorely mistaken if you think most people are voting Sanders over Clinton because of dishonesty. She's a crook with so much blood on her hands. She's a borderline republican who is pretending we live in a monarchy where name recognition qualifies you for public office.

Sanders is trustworthy sure, but he's also not swimming in the pocket of banks, pharma, and wall st.

Justify political corruption all you want, but lying and bribery are not the same sin. Not even the same ballpark.

Fear not, I live in Massachusetts which will go to the Dem nominee no matter what even if a 5th of millennials voted green party.

I'm lucky at that because I really, really hate Hillary these days so it would be the bitterest of pills to give that Prison Industrial Complex, Big Pharma, Goldman Sachs shill any kind of "mandate" or vindication and I don't envy anyone who has to throw away their vote on her to prevent someone worse

A lot of Clinton supporters had the same childish reactionary attitude back in 2008 when she lost but still inevitably voted for Obama once Palin was a heartbeat away from the presidency. I'd imagine the same will happen this time around once the general starts up and people really start to evaluate just how terrifying a Trump presidency may be.

Clintons are connected to the Panama Papers...shocking.

Clinton's rhetoric toward Obama has never been as over the top as Bernie's and his supporters. His supporters have done far more damage to the party as a whole than should be the case. They have gone out of their way to paint her as a right of Reagan conservative who will bring back W. Bush era policies, start wars, and give the one percent money at the expense of the poor. All of it is untrue, disingenuous, and venomous. If the Republicans weren't going off of the deep end, Bernie's campaign would ensure a Republican takes the White House in November. This article sums it up well.

Absolutely agree with this. People are letting perfect (and even then, like any politician, Sanders is NOT actually perfect) be the enemy of good, when the real enemy is any candidate that's a hair away from setting up Muslim internment camps and punishing gay people for daring to exist. That person will NOT be Hillary, and progressives "voting against her" only care about themselves and how warm and fuzzy not straying away from their ideaology makes them feel, over all the people Trump and Cruz would actively harm.

I voted for Bernie in the primary and would still prefer him over Clinton, but I've been getting into it with a couple more diehard Bernie supporters who are still constantly trashing Clinton.

There comes a point when you have to be pragmatic. If Hillary gets the nom, all Dems should fall in line behind the candidate.

Yeah, I'm still considering voting for Bernie in my upcoming state, but at this point I'm wondering if I should just go all in for Clinton since his odds of winning are so low.

Hillary is part of the top 1%. She's the Big Bank and Wall street candidate in the race, votes for war, and takes money from nations who hate us, and have opposing values to so-called causes she champions.

Her positions are very Republican like these days, and her older positions on gay marriage were flip-flopped for political expediency.

Lady Macbeth has an undereducated older female base, and good will from minorities thanks to her husband. If either group had a clue, they would see Sanders politics would help the more.

The " superdelegates " are on her side. Follow the money... and hope the FBI nails this witch.

Careful SV,

Cruz is the best debater and the best politician in the sense of using the rules to his advantage among both groups.

Trump, if he wasn't such a novice politician and would stick to the issues over his mouth could win over the middle of the road types. I agree.

But he fell into a baited trap with the dolt like Chris Mathews, and the rest of the population is too lazy to learn the context of what came before he answered.

Trump is a threat to politics as usual and bad business deals for the USA. That is why the establishment is against him.

But he throws and takes a political punch as well as anyone and could have a field day with Clinton's past.

Usually, the person who draws the biggest crowds in a non-incumbent election wins.

Jesus, tone down the misogyny would you? Holy hell man.

Question, how is that "misogyny"? Is it because you dislike that comment? It is pretty factual that Hilary has a large segment of older women supporting her. If those women educated themselves more on Hilary maybe they would stop supporting her.

Also Hilary LOVES to pull "I'm a woman" card. So isn't that sexist???

He's calling her a witch and Lady Macbeth. Seriously?

Using grown up language in these types of debates is important. But then again, I don't think Taarna is a grown up.
