The Clinton Thread

Ah. You've done it. I know because it was to me when I brought up something the Clintons did. You just brought up something Obama did as well.

How very descriptive of you. If such were the case, I am guessing you were using the example to show how great of a politican Obama was and put him on the pedestal that so many here do. In which case an example of Obama's actions are justified.

Yeah... do that generalizing thing again. :whatever:

It is not generalizing to state a fact about a specific demographic! When I single out a specific demographic and speak of only that specific demographic's specific behavior I am doing the opposite of generalizing. I am being specific.

I think many Obama supporters refuse to see no wrong in him... however, I would say that everyone who supports a certain candidate is that way, to one extent or another... though, many Obama supporters seemed to have that going for them during the Wright scandal and bittergate, saying that they would have no effect on him when that certainly hasn't been the case...

You missed the point. You are generalizing the times you've been a little bit of a ***** when it comes to the election issue.

In that case I apologize and change my comment to "Several Obama supporters on the Hype"

Yeah, and I was being overly sensative.

From what I understand, he is the liberal Bill O'Reilly, so it isn't fair to criticize him having an opinion. However, it seems like Several Obama supporters on the Hype have been lifting him onto a pedestal as if his word is gospel according to Keith for these past few weeks, despite the fact that he is clearly very biased and has been from day one and it is really nothing more than his opinion which he is very good at screaming.

Wow, that sounds like an awful show. No one should ever take a pundit's word as gospel, that's just silly. Personally I don't like obama so much as I just can't stand hillary, but that goes way back to bill being president and her stab at health care. The person I respect the most is McCain by leaps and bounds but I don't think I could take another four or eight with republicans so I'm leaning towards obama. Plus he gets some bonus points for just admitting former drug use rather than a stupid dodge. (I cannot stand it when a politican cannot admit they make mistakes, the way GW and Hillary currently do)

As for Clinton's stupidity...I tend to agree. But I see that in every candidate this election, which is why I will ultimately vote for whichever third party candidate I find best represents me and hope like hell we get a Warner/Brown ticket in 2012.

Which third party are you liking currently?

No I'm not. I know what I have said and what I haven't said. Since you seem to be misinterpreting it, how is it being a "*****" to correct you?

I do respect his honesty on drug usage, but it was kinda negated for me by his lies about Reverend Wright.

It depends on who gets the Green Party nomination. I may just end up writing in "Uncommitted" or "John Edwards."

No, but it doesn't really come as a surprise that Olbermann attacked her over this. Because Olbermann has been anti-Clinton for the duration of this campaign, it's hard to see how anything he has to say will single-handedly change what people think about her.

The fact that folks compare Olbermann to Edward R. Murrow makes me die a little bit on the inside.

I merely mentioned that as Olbermann made the correlation when he ended his rant with "goodnight and good luck."

I personally think Hillary Clint could be a very fine president (and I think she will run again in 2012 or 2016). I also think she is manipulative, pandering, dishonest and worst of all, thinks she is entitled--moreso than any other candidate in either primary this year (well besides Mitt Romney).

And I think she did not mean to say she was hoping Obama got shot, but what her reference to RFK I think implies in subtext (which intended or not is what I think she really feels) is that "ANYTHING" can happen between now and the convention. Sure she really just wants Sean Hannity to find that little secret that would cause Obama to implode, but I think she would take assassination.

BTW if we view her comments in context the RFK thing is still inane as the primaries of 1968 began in March. But you know logic hasn't stopped her yet, so why should it start now? Since May 6th she has been doing nothing but hurting her reputation and the party. That comment cost her the VP spot that she was trying to almost blackmail the Obama campaign into giving her. Good job, Hillary.

BTW you are allowed to take my muses with a grain of salt as I did vote for Obama on the 6th, but I did not make the decision immediately, nor was it just for "hope." I think the last month has shown very well why some cynics like myself are going for the populist in Obama.

P.S. My opinion on Olbermann? Well he is a liberal columnist with a TV show. I think there is nothing wrong with editorials and find them usually fun to read (and his are interesting to listen to, unlike most television editorialists). But he does darken MSNBC's reputation as they are replacing Matthews (who Lord knows is biased, but tries to ask unbiased questions) with Olbermann as their face in news. However, you never make an opinion writer the head of a news desk as it makes everything turned out by that desk suspect, even if it is impartial reporting. But since American network news television is such a circus and so crappy, I don't think anyone notices or cares.

As I said, Olbermann being called the liberal O'Reilly is a fair slight, but I think Olbermann is much smarter, quicker on his feet, educated and unlike O'Reilly, doesn't get angry in a debate and get his panties in a bunch that makes him lose. I think a comparison to Hannity would be more apt, except being liberal I think Hannity is a wacko.

Just clarifying.

Populist? :lmao: Obama is not a populist.

He sells himself as one. I never said I thought he was, but that is the image he attempts to exude. I wouldn't call him a populist or an elitist, but both sides love simplifying to inaccurate words. :whatever:

I think he is a MUCH better choice for president than Hillary Clinton or John McCain, though. Albeit there were 2-3 other choices I would've preferred over the lot of 'em.

Olbermann's the *****. O'Reilly's not worthy to wash his jock.

BTW, is it now obvious to all the Shillary doesn't give a rat's hindquarters about the Dems?

Olbermann has been the official spokesman for the Obama campaign since day one, so its to be expected.

He really wasn't Matt. You obviously weren't watching Olbermann more recently than the last 3 months. He was pretty much backing Clinton up until a couple months ago, and didn't really show a major bias toward Obama until it became fairly obvious Clinton wasn't going to win the primary maybe two months back after Obama won 11 in a row. If you are going to state something as fact, at least get the facts right.

Been obvious for a while. She just gives a damn about herself, nothing more. She is entitled to that nomination dammit, and if she can't have it, nobody can! She's such slime. Her and her delusional supporters will damn the party for nothing more then vanity.

Yeah I remember him mentioning that a few weeks ago.

Olbermann is the leftist O'Reilly. If you watch enough of him you see that he gets his panties in a bunch and gets angry tons of times. Like O'Reilly he also attacks people, he even has a segment called "Worst People in the World" where for the most part he attacks conservatives.

The major difference between Olbermann and O'Reilly is that Olbermann doesn't come off as much as a *****ebag. He's just an ******* while O'Reilly is both.

Also, I find Olbermann to be rather entertaining while I tend to avoid O'Reilly's television show. O'Reilly on TV is downright horrible, his opinion articles are far more better where he doesn't come off as such a pompus ass, just arrogant while bringing up a point.

Considering the way her campaign is going right now I would have thought that Leonidas would be here running mate.
