According to IGN, Raimi confirmed that Franco isn't playing the new green goblin or hobgoblin. This makes no sense...cause we see Franco playing one of them in the teaser trailer.

He means that he's not a Goblin, per se. He's a villian, yes, but he doesn't have a "super villian identity." He's just Harry with weapons and some anger management issues.
