The Daily Planet Vol. 2: Superman News and Speculation Thread (🚨TAG SPOILERS🚨)

Just saw Jeremy Jahns didn't like it and he's usually easy to please. :(

Also the usual suspects didn't like it like Tyrone, but we all knew that.

The same Jeremy Jahns who wont watch movies made prior to 1990, cause anything made prior hold no value to him?

Come on yall. Take this goddamn win and enjoy yo selves. Y’all actin like Indiana fans, and you know what happened to them? They won, but no one cared. If you want the same vanilla pov as jahn’s, baby, Stuckmann liked it.

It does suck that Regal had all those ugly popcorn buckets or far tooo pricey ones. I love a good popcorn bucket but the regular one did not speak to me at all. Ugly.

i did not know this about him. f*** that!
i hate it when people talk that way about older films...it's such a b****-ass opinion.

i am unfollowing him on youtube now!

I can sympathize to an extent with that opinion, but not for like....pre 1990. I find some very old say 40s or 50s movies that have the generic style and wasn't made by like Orson Wells or someone that didn't try something interesting to be hard to watch. Like, Citizen Kane and Paths of Glory? I can watch it. The Crawling Eye? No, lol. But anything post like 1960 I can basically watch no issue

The only real YT critic I follow is deepfocuslens

Now! If she likes this, I would personally run and buy my tickets now. But I love her snobbish ‘Daria’ ways about her.

Nah, I can give you 10 right now not made by Wells and Kubrick of that era that would blow your toupee off from your shiny head. Not to mention being that drastic, completely wipes out the 70s film era from ones viewing experience. Jahns is like fast food, but he is part of that tomatoes machines which dominated the GA and internet. Eh.

Not specifically just Wells or Kubrick, I more mean like a lot of movies of that old era are very talky and shot the same way and aren't interesting to watch. I am sure there are lots of valid exceptions, but I think my comparison more applies to what would have been your average, garden variety, nothing special about it movies. And yeah, 1990 is an odd cutoff point to pick.

More heartbreaking than Zegler ruining Snow White for Gal? I don’t think so,

:o

There are tons of interesting movies from the 20's and 30's' imo. More so than the 50's-60's, I'd say.

Honestly, I haven't seen a ton of 20s movies. So I don't feel qualified to comment on that era, lol.

50s maybe. But the 60s is probably my favorite decade of cinema.

I have lots of favorite movies, but I don't know if I can isolate a favorite decade. I can tell you that largely, it isn't the current decade. Though there are still some Dunes and such that stand out. But I don't think I have a true favorite decade or era

Posting a great list of movies, but...

Listing them by "the" instead of C, E, F, G, and T?
