The Daily Planet Vol. 2: Superman News and Speculation Thread (🚨TAG SPOILERS🚨)

I thought Christian Bale was a brilliant Bruce Wayne and Batman. Pattinson has yet to show his actual Bruce Wayne for me to judge

Any actor should do it ( relatively ) cheap, as the exposure in playing batman would be worth millions to them afterwards, ie, sequels, other unrelated films, commercials, etc.
In otherwords, don't ask for 10+ million to play batman.

I mean, ask what you’re worth. Playing a character is a job not a ceremonial honour.

In most cases I'd agree. But in this case I don't. Batman is like James bond or Superman. He's iconic.
Imagine a new indy Jones being cast. The exposure alone would be worth millions to said actor.

That kind of thinking is why actors aren’t getting paid residuals for their work.

You gotta ask for what you’re worth.

While the titan from Krypton can often seem stoic and deified, Corenswet's Kal-El can be quite passionate about his views and express them loudly.

This right here, yes.

Bautista!
Bautista in Blade Runner 2049 mode would make a great Darkseid.

His quiet intensity reminds me a lot of how Michael Ironside portrayed him in Superman: TAS. So methodical and in control, and only loses his cool when absolutely cornered and without any other options.

Who said it's the only way for a World's Finest to happen? I can easily envision a world where Batman gets introduced in WF and then branches out to his own story with Damian.
Its an opinion...

I just dont see them making that mistake again.

Craig was paid $3.2 million in 2006 to play Bond which would be over $5 million today. Icon or no you get paid.

Bautista has proven he's the best among the wrestlers turn actors category.

So another British actor will be Bruce Wayne 🤔
I'd imagine that both European and American actors will be in the mix for the role. If a European gets it, he'll simply adopt a phony American accent and change his mannerisms accordingly—same as always. My top choice for Bruce right now is Jacob Elordi, but he's unfortunately way too young for a seasoned Batman with an adolescent son. Then again, James had no problem casting 60-year-old Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Jr.'s dad in Creature Commandos (Joel Kinnaman is 45). lol So, we shall see.

Anyway, back to Superman.

this is what is confusing me about the DCU now.
if the suicide squad and peacemaker takes place in the former dceu, then how does it connect to the current dcu?

or was the suicide squad always meant to be an alternative universe from the dceu?
just that amanda waller, harley, rick flag jr., etc happened to be the same characters...
