So he mentions that there'll be some explanation about Clark's glasses.

Man, people really love harping on the glasses thing but,

• It's comic book rules. Just one of those kinda silly things you just accept.
• But also, it's not just the glasses keeping the Clark Kent and Superman personas apart. (There are enough essays, thinkpieces, etc. out there that I not going to go into that.)

A one-line joke about it is fine, but I feel like he didn't need to bother actually taking time to explain.

That article with James Gunn was a great read. As far as a costume evolution, I can see David's current suit being more of a reflection of his heritage and being "The Last Son of Krypton" and as he becomes more embraced by the planet Earth, he will eventually get a suit that reflects that. Maybe with a classic and a boat neck.

As far as the glasses, I would have been okay with the explanation from "Superman: Birthright" where the glasses cut the shade of blue in Clark's eyes.

I'm not sure if it's true or not, and I haven't seen any sort of confirmation from Gunn or DC, but I read that they may be showing the first 30 minutes of Superman at various locations while they are on this Superman World tour.

If that is true then that signals that WB is extremely confident that this movie is going to be received well and will be a big hit.

If that is true then that signals that WB is extremely confident that this movie is going to be received well and will be a big hit.

WB has been confident about Superman from the start. It’s starting their new shared universe when they easily could have started with The Batman. I can’t remember WB ever promoting a movie as much as they have promoted Superman.

Lol. The fact there was never a video or interview of him saying that nor an official statement from one of his reps, tells you all you need to know.

I wonder if he even knows someone from the studio was throwing his name around like that.

I hate to even promote this show, but I needed some noise to listen to while working and the hate curiosity what too much this morning.

If you ever needed a perfect example of the type of nitpicky criticism and headaches aimed at Gunn, this is it. I truly hope he nails this film and gets all the accolades from it after listening to this.

Oh he knows. I just want to know how all that came about and if he ended up hitting them with a cease and desist. Or if maybe he saw an early cut of the film and thought it looked pretty good but then watched the finished product and was like, “What is this piece of ****?!”

Because if one thing is abundantly clear, it’s that Cruise will openly shill for your movie if he believes in it (even if that movie could hurt one of his own movies at the box office). He promoted Oppenheimer, Barbie, Tenet, Sinners, among other things. But strangely he’s never mentioned The Flash ONCE even though he supposedly loved it SO much that he gushed about it to Zaslav. I’m sure he just forgot to say something.

He's not going to actively hurt the studio he's working with. At the same time he was probably like, yeah I'm not going to put that out there myself and have egg on my face.

Wow. I thought those two became more positive about Superman lately. Rocha loved the trailer and Snieder said Gunn’s changes after the test screenings made the movie good.

Anyway negativity brings in viewers. Especially when it comes to WB/DC movies.

Oh ok. I like the way Rocha defended Bella Ramsey and the Last of Us. Took some guts for him to stand up to the bullying while others ran for the hills.
