Don’t get me wrong the heads of DC movies during the DCEU era were terrible but I get the feeling that Henry Cavill was not an easy person to work with. It was so weird that they sidelined him in BVS and then put him in a refrigerator for Justice League. It was telling that Ben, Momoa, and Gale were the stars of the DCEU while Cavill was in the Ezra category. Was Superman the issue for WB or was it the actor…….

I don't think there ever was such an issue. They likely just thought they were cooking with the planned (and not very well done) Death of Superman + Injustice 1-2 punch.

Like the costume, that poster is so close to perfection but doesn't quite stick the landing for me.

The clouds / background is beautiful, why is he awkwardly standing in front of it by stepping onto the S.

Choose a pose which works with the background better. Imagine this pose or similar, with the posters' gorgeous background.

Yeah it is this. They had this big plan to do these "iconic" stories (Injustice sucks) but wanted to put none of the heavy lifting into it. I hated the idea then (didn't hate the movies as much as I thought) ad it is even worse now. It was such a disservice to Superman as a character it is crazy.

Superman dying has no weight if half the world (the DCEU) hates him and we the audience havent even gotten to know him. They turned Superman into a Mcguffin to meet Batman and create the Justice League. It was friggin criminal.

So happy the Krypto on the moon bit is an actual scene from the movie. I was starting to worry it was just promo art.

The suit looks amazing. He ( corensweat) looks tiny though. Hopefully he bulks up if he is in anything else. Nowhere near superman spec on size even with Christopher Reeves or Cavill. Would've been a better superboy.

Success? The movies had almost no multiplier and crashed and burned week 2 with terrible reviews. What are you even talking about?

I love those movies but to deny their failure is beyond coping and is almost cultlike.
