I would assume so since it will still be a DC Studios production and therefore using their budget/resources.

I just came back from seeing this again. It was great. Definitely getting the 4K Blu-Ray. I know this might be the best Superman movie but my nostalgia is still keeping Superman 1 and 2 on top.

WB announced today they are moving up the digital release of Superman to the 15th.

That is surprising. I hate it for the theatres but I suppose to studios are banking on the VOD to be high and they get much more of that money directly

Yup. So many factors, but it's crazy how short these theatrical windows have become.

In a lot of ways, this is reminding me of Cord Cutting and the ever changing television models due to streaming.

School starts in some areas in America next Monday. Superman dominated the summer box office. Now it can control VOD for a few weeks. FF4 will probably go to digital by Labor Day.

My brother bought a projector during Covid and has not been to the movies since. His backyard looks like a IMAX theater in the Fall, Spring and Summer time. The world has changed.

That's...incredibly fast, more so after the date that dropped last week.

But, not uncommon with how fast studios are putting some films on digital.

You're ignoring the far more likely (imo) possibility that it's just referring to the "Super-family" as Superman and Supergirl (and Krypto) together.

Zaslav's phrasing is also even vaguer in the actual sentence than even that, imo. That's the safest bet but I also think it could mean Superman leading a more general ensemble movie.
