I just went on youtube to look up any recent videos about Superman and its all just negative negative negative. I'm starting to just get fed up with it at this point. I know it's just the Snyderbros etc, but it's still draining to no longer be able to easily find anything positive or just evenly and fairly critical on this film. I just want to sit down to some with my lunch and watch some good Superman content talked about. I've been dealing with it fine the last 2 years but I can't pretend it's not getting to me anymore. I've seen this movie get hated on in comments for videos that don't even have anything to do with superman or superheros. Why can't they just let it go?

With social media / internet in general you'll find negativity wherever you go, it's the nature of the beast. There are people out there whose channels/accounts rely solely on negativity to get clicks and numbers i.e. negativity is a business and a profitable one at that! Hence it's very important to have a modicum of perspective here, Superman scored 83% critics and 91% viewers (over 25k) ratings! Those numbers are indisputable. Add to all that the strong B.O. multipliers and the massive cultural support this movie has received in the states and abroad (especially in north Africa and the mideast) due to the film's obvious commentary/criticism of Israel's genocide in Gaza and one could safely say that this movie has accomplished it's mission (restored abit of DC's shattered reputation) and then some (Superman's anti-imperialist message has bought the characters TONS and tons of new fans around the world). If you are a superman fan you should be rejoicing right now not worrying about a bunch of negative reviews on youtube.

I hear you and feel the same way. According to some, everything about this movie is a disaster, failure, flop, etc. And this was even before the movie came out or the first footage was revealed!

It's just noise.

Superman was such a huge flop that both Peacemaker S2 and Supergirl have been canceled and will be a tax write-off.

James: Well, it's very complicated, but the truth is it is because of Peacemaker. I originally thought Peacemaker was going to be coming out next month. There was a lot of things that are beyond our control, so that Peacemaker is coming out now, and, at the end of the day, I wanted everyone to be able to see Superman that wanted to, even those people who couldn't get to a theater before Peacemaker. And that's really the reason for it.

That's very optimistic. Honestly, I don't see how the film could be made and released so quickly.
But I have no doubt that the “Super-Family” flick will meet this schedule though...

Having watched the red-band trailer for Peacemaker Season 2, it's still hard to believe at times that James Gunn is the same guy that made Superman.

Prior to seeing any footage of the film, I was always concerned that Gunn would slip in some of his raunchy style humor into the film.

Same, but he seems well-versed enough in the material to mostly know where it’s appropriate and where it’s not.

Gunn can do it. I even think Reeves can do it. Zazzy will certainly pressure them to do it. I think he released the Superman saga info before Gunn wanted him too but shareholders need to feel good. Just imagine a Superman Family movie and Waller/Checkmate show for summer 2027. Batman 2/Penguin season 2 for October 2027 and early winter 2028. I am being optimistic but everything kind of lineups. Superman saga is almost ready to go and there is an opening for the summer of 2027 for DC. Then Wonder Woman for the Summer of 2028. Now where cooking……….
