Quick question. When bats is hanging on Scarecrows van, what zaps him and makes him fly off? Always wondered that, figured it was in the script but dont have it around at the moment

It says in the script that the pneumatic mangle is attached with explosive bolts. He sees that Scarecrow is going to ram him into the column with the van that he's currently stuck in, so he detaches himself from the mangle by using those bolts.

What does the Joker eat? On a daily basis...

:hoboj:

3 theories:

1. Potatoes - based off of him owning a potato peeler
2. Meat - He had Brian in a slaughterhouse somewhere. Maybe that was his lair, and Chechen came over on weekends for barbecues
3. He crashes random parties he's not invited to like a hungry college student and drinks all the champagne / eats all the shrimp.

lolz. :hehe:

I think a better question is how many drugs was Joker on through the course of TDK? I can tell if someone is on drugs instantly, and Joker seemed to be on something, maybe prescription drugs. Maybe he just swallows a mouthful everytime he leaves his crib or something.

Lol! What made you think he was on drugs? I mean aside from the fact that he dressed like a clown and killed people.

well its a pretty plausible explanation for the no sleep/eat/showering going on

Why didn't Batman and Gordon just pin Two-Face's crimes on the Joker instead of Batman taking the rap?

When Batman grapples that SWAT guy and that mist comes out...what's going on there?

A more sophisticated question than my previous two :hehe:... How did Batman sneaks up beind the Joker and his crowd control without the people reacting (like... "Alright Batman, Take him down!!!) :hehe:

From RachelDawes, a fellow SHH! member:

Because it's one thing to blame yourself for something you haven't done, but it's something else entirely to frame an "innocent" person. The Joker was innocent in this case as he didn't actually kill these people. Blaming him would be incredibly immoral as he's guilty only in the broadest sense. Plus, it's possible that his goons or hostages could provide him with an alibi.

You can't blame a goon or a mobster for the murders either without running the risk that an innocent criminal will be arrested for the crimes.

My answer, based on from what I gathered from various forums, is that Joker wanted to show Gotham that Dent's not different from what the criminals he incarcerated. If they've pin the murders on Joker and an investigation starts, he would just tell them the truth, he wins.

Batman and Gordon started a conspiracy here - a cover-up for Dent. If they blame the murder on Batman, the investigation would be on Batman. But then, since Batman, at this moment, could not be caught, as Gordon says, "[FONT=CourierFinalDraft,Italic]So we'll hunt him, because he can take it.", an investigation is unlikely to happen. Or if ever Dent becomes a suspect, they already have blamed it on Batman, which, in people's view, is more likely the real killer. Because he has the motive, he's a vigilante, an outlaw, people sees that he has the right reasons to do the killings.

This doesn't really pertain to the film, but Shiff, people say he's in the Wendy's commercials. What commercials were they for? Someone can explain it to me or link me a video. Thanks.

Didn't the Joker know though that Harvey lost it and went on a rampage; wasn't that his whole plan? So it seems to me that once Batman takes the rap, the Joker's just going to tell the real story.

He is. It's for the dollar menu items. I don't have the link, but keep watching television and read less. :hehe:

That's the real answer. The emperor has no clothes and TDK, great as it is, is not perfect.
Not quiiiiite the same analogy. :oldrazz:

No movie is "perfect." "Perfect" implies an objectivity that any creative piece of work can never attain.

For instance, I don't consider the Mona Lisa to be all that. Da Vinci is pretty overrated as a painter, IMO. Much prefer Michelangelo. See how easy that was? :oldrazz:

For a logical argument, the Joker can easily provide an alibi as to his own whereabouts, but he cannot provide direct evidence for Harvey being the one who perpetrated the murders. Being the great psychologist that he is, of course Joker will know that Harvey is guilty, but he can't necessarily prove it. I don't think he cares all that much either, he's probably tickled pink that Batman went through all of that trouble to publicize a lie.

Yeah, Joker would keep quiet just knowing how much crap Batman is going though for all of this. It's not like the Joker wouldn't be in enough trouble as it is already.

Well, Batman is a ninja. :yay: I figured the goons were probably so focused on controlling the crowd that they didn't notice him slip through. I think most of them were facing away from the Joker.

Didn't the Joker know though that Harvey lost it and went on a rampage; wasn't that his whole plan? So it seems to me that once Batman takes the rap, the Joker's just going to tell the real story.

The Joker will just laugh at the thought of Batman taking the fall for Dent. Batman's a murderer now, just like him! :funny: Besides, even if he did say something, who are people going to believe, a psychotic terrorist or the squeaky clean commissioner?

Why does the joker leave a calling card in his crimes off screen in Begins, yet doesnt leave them in TDK. We know he pins one to Brian, but we know its the joker from the video so its not so much a calling card as it is a note for batman to come out.

Joker gave the mob his card, there were cards scattered from the explosion of the assassination of the judge, the card on Brian. It isn't like you to have him in every scene putting down a card. Also I think you can get the idea when he is looking at the camera with his make up on.
