The Dark Knight THE DARK KNIGHT crowd reports!

You are my hero!

It is really disrespectful not to play the credits and play some bull advertisements. I have never really liked AMC

I hope to see this on CNN.:woot:

Theaters across town were sold out for the midnight shows here. A theater in reasonable distance added two 12:01 shows, so I got in. The theater was sold out that night for sure though, it was packed. People were clapping, laughing, making jokes before the show started because the sound went out in the pre-preview commercial things. Fun stuff. Plus, a guy dressed up in full costume as Batman. I think the biggest scenes were when Joker killed Gamble's goon with the pencil, a big "oh!" from that, and the scene where Maroni's legs break. A lot of funny scenes too with Fox talking to Reese about Bruce being Batman, and the scene of Bruce and Alfred on the boat with the hot girls.

My theater had 3 sold out 12:01 showings. People gasped at Joker's magic trick, at were like oh my god at the first sight of Two-Face. At the end the was applause and pretty much everyone stayed til after the credits. There was one dude dressed as Robin, his friend was dressed as Nightwing, and there two women with Joker make up and green hair.

in fredericton NB, went to the midnight had two screenings both were packed. usually when i go to a "sold out movie" here there are quite a few empty seats but this wasn't the case with TDK, after flipping the trailer guy in the audience yelled Holy S#!t, at the end it got the applause i knew it was going to get.

6am IMAX show in Buford, GA...PACKED! There were a few empty seats, but I guess a couple people had trouble getting there, because I know it was sold out, as was the 3am show.

IMAX, people. If you have the means, I highly recommend it. It is so choice.

My crowd was bananas, WTF it was like everyone from the Superhero Hype! was there.??
Adding their own soundtrack and everything, at the end I felt like I was at the WB private screening or something, my crowd gave a standing ovation yelling and carrying on.
Wow! Is that serious? I know it is for us, but the general public?

The theater I went to had 5 screenings. At least 3 of them, in the bigger theaters, were sold out. The one I was in was almost full.

People were generally quiet and interested in the movie. The pencil trick got a huge reaction, and people laughed at a lot of Heath's sounds.

A couple next to me kept pointing out obvious things which was a little annoying.

Big cheer at the end, but no one really stayed for the credits.

an hour into the film it seemed as if the air shut off.

^ My theater experience in a nut shell :brucebat:

Three theaters were in my area, everyone of them was sold out. The one I went to had 5 12:01 showings (Sold out), three 1:15 showings (Sold out), a 3:15 (I went to this one, the line snaked through the room and out the door - also sold out) and a 3:25 I'm sure sold out by the amount of people in THAT line.

One of the best movie-crowds I've had in a long long time, no talking, no yelling, no screaming babies (even though there was one there) no popcorn sounds, nothing. On the way out I didn't hear anything except Joker talk. People -LOVED- him during the film.

I think my theater had 5 showings? Each one was sold out. The crowd itself was good, too. Meaning, they shut up during the movie :D

(Houston, TX) 5 minutes into the movie the IMAX projection went out. For 15 minutes we sat there thinking we waited 5 hours to watch the Prologue. During the 15 minutes we did the wave and yelled at the manager just standing there telling us to be patient.

Luckily it came back on right at the same scene in the Prologue and all was well. Applause during the Harvey Dent trial at the beginning when he took the gun away from Rossi. Applause was heard when Gordon "re-appeared". Applause at the very end.

god i am glad i got to see it on tuesday with true fans from the kickingandscreening tix... midnight show fans at the universal citywalk were very disappointing..

I'm going again this evening- and all of us at the K&S screening laughed at the magic trick- wonder how the audience will react tonight?

I hope my theater is packed when I see this tonight (which it proabaly will).Well I planned on going to the midnight showing with some friends but something crazy happpen. The theater was jacked packed an all the showings where sold out! Lots of people got turned away lol.

My croud clapped every time Batman pulled something Heroic like when the bat-pod appeared yeah that made every one clap as well with the " Then your going to love me " Line, they laughed at the right times the movie had every one leaving it pleased and excited; To the point they were still talking about it all the way home. I went to a dennys and there where at least a group of 20 people each talking about the movie and how much it owned. So I doubt there was one person leaving unhappy.

That's why you buy your tickets online and pick them up well before the showtime.

My theater in Cincinnati had 17 theaters sold out for 12:01 showing!

I live in a very small town in W.Va. I've never gone to a movie around here that had more than a few dozen people there at a time, Even for a big movie like this, But last night at a midnight screening with 4 screens playing it, It was packed. They sold out. I couldn't believe it. It was great.:woot:

That f***ing up-the-wall flip the Batpod did was amazing.

EDIT: Sorry, just had to mention that because someone was talking about the Batpod. But the crowd was noticably impressed when they saw it.

Five theatres were sold out here, line stretched out the doors, and around the theatre. Everyone in my theatre loved it. Applause at the beginning, applause at the end, and applause for ledger. Greatest night ever.

Before the movie started last night, one of the employees came into the theater and told people that The Dark Knight had sold out and there were currently 1100 people there to see it. And the best part of it was that even though it was packed, NOBODY made any noise once the movie started all the way til the end. Then they applauded.

My theater (Rockaway, NJ) was rediculous. Soooo many people there. I was decked out in my bank rober joker gear, sorry I didnt take pics. The movie played in 10 theaters! I've never seen anything like this in my life. Once in a lifetime!

Full house. When we walked outta there...we made sure the 3am and 6am people knew how good it was. Now, I'm trying my hardest to stay awake at work!

The magic trick and Gordan's surprise got big reactions.

Midnight showing at the Lincoln Square theater in NYC.

NOTHING beats a New York audience full of fans in one of the biggest theaters in the city at midnight. This crowd LOVED this movie...all 6 theaters.

It's an experience everyone should have at least once.

My crowd amplified the greatness of this movie - like all good crowds do.
