yea probly the sonar thing
Well you can assume Batman listened to police communications. There are multiple instances throughout the film where it appears he has done this. He arrives at the vault after the Joker has robbed it, goes to the "Dent" and "Harvey" double murder crime scene and then at the end goes to 250 52nd street. Presumably each of those times he knew where to go due to police communications. Regarding the scene you're talking about, Gordon and Two Face talk about the backup arriving. Obviously they got a directive from Gordon - he states "they only know there's a situation". They would've got a call from Gordon and Batman would have heard it.I asked this in the PlotHole thread, but no one answered. (sorry if it has been asked before.)
How did Batman know where to go to look for Harvey? Joker only said he'd let Harvey go.

It's possible. Having said that, the SWAT member wouldn't know the location as he only heard Gordon's side of the call and Gordon is at least in the position to have the power to order resources to the location. Keeping that in mind, it was most likely Gordon who issued the order and told them when they arrived to form a perimeter only so as not to endanger his family.Gordon didn't tell anyone where he was going. You can see it in the scene where he's talking to Harvey on the phone, one of the SWAT snipers overhears Gordon's conversation with Dent about his family being in danger. It was most probably him who had alerted the rest of GCPD.

Either way it's conjecture as it happened off-screen. To me it just seems more likely Gordon was responsible for the order.

That was a great shot, and I believe it was Bale and not a stunt man.
He is the only actor to date who has been able to encapsulate the physicality of the character.
i dont agree with that. bales batman is also fighting like that. but nolan never focuses slowly on hes face. basicly nolan never does a ''cool'' punch. he jumps like a dog on the badguys.Michael Keaton did it better. Watch Keaton at the start of Returns, where the Clown grabs Selina. Batman climbs out of the Batmobile, another clown drives past on a bike, and Keaton backhandedly SMACKS him out of the way....that is Batman. Bale does it fine, but Keaton puts an anger into his physicality.

Or, another way; Bale is all about the mission, the gameplan, I have to do A because it leads to B and C. Now Batman is a strategist, and I am all for this. But Keaton's Batman is just a f***ing moody, spooky, whispery badass vigilante borderline-psycho.
How can you hate Bale at Batman?

I think his quite Batman voice is perfect.
yea what is this geezer talking about? no comic book character should get a oscar? so you judge peoples performances on the genre they are in? i'm not jumping on the heath band-wagon but i seriously doubt there will be a performance to top his joker this year, in any genre.
Keaton did not do it better.
I LOVE the Burtman movies, but Keaton's Batman fighting is unrealistic to anyone with half an understanding of street fighting or martial arts. Keaton's power is mostly generated all from his shoulders. That is not how you throw a punch. Silly back handed blows that look cool, but would not knock a man down in real life. In the first fight scene in TDK you can see that Batman uses his whole body and hips to generate the power of his blows. He looks much more fearsome, and the fighting looks more like real punches being thrown and less like a ballet. Beyond this, Keaton was a short ass runt and you can see this is many a seen in Batman and BR.
Yeah, it was all highly stylized and looked cool, but there was not much substance in there. Also Batman does not kill people!
