The Dark Knight The Dark Knight FAQ (Check here first)

Yeah Bats, sorry about that, I left the site for a little while and came back and read it all and realized how ridiculous it was...

My apologies to all for that. :)

The fight scenes for the sequel has yet to be mentioned. Although with some of the minor complaints about the ones Begins had, I'm sure they will be much better then what we were given in the first. Though they didn't seem to bother me at all, even if it appeared like we couldn't see what was being hit.

The first page has been updated with the Robin Williams rumor.

By the way, do any of you think there should be a specific color for the updates? That way it'd be easier for people to tell what's new or not.

Couldn't hurt. Or you could just put the word UPDATED in bold next to it.

Also, don't forget to change "Emma Watson" to "Emily Watson". It's the girl from Equillibrium who was mentioned for Harley, not Hermione Granger.

I like the thought of putting "updated" in bold, with red coloring. Which is what I'll do next time we get a new update.

Also, "Emma" has been changed to "Emily". Equilibrium wasn't the only film Bale and Watson were together in, they both appeared in the film Metroland in 1997.

Everything you need to know about Dent/Two-Face, is right here.

Will Harvey Dent be in the sequel as well as Two-Face?

Yes, Goyer confirmed that Harvey Dent will infact be in the film. But not Two-Face. He also mentioned that Batman, Gordon, and Dent, will team up to bring down the Joker with his capture at the end of the film. Then Joker being the one throwing the acid in Harvey's face, to set him up for Two-Face in the possible third. Be aware that this was last year in 2005, so things could change.

Actors that have been interested/rumored thus far, are:

Liev Schrieber
Jake Gyllenhaal
Josh Lucas
Guy Pearce
Joaquin Phoenix
Hugh Jackman
John Cusack

The latest reports show that Lucas is very determined in persuing the role, and wants to be brought in as a candidate. He remains the only actor currently in the front, with Schrieber and Gyllenhaal being close seconds.

BOF has reported that Hugh Jackman may no longer be participating in the sequel, due to signing to a new film which is a romantic comedy as told by sources. Where this leaves Jackman is unknown for now, considering the filming for the sequel and his new film be taking place around the same time.

John Cusack is one of the actors whose name has come up as being another candidate for Dent. One of BOF's most trusted insiders, is reporting that he had heard Cusack's name being thrown as another rumored actor. Stay tuned for any more news regarding it. For now it's only another rumor, due to Cusack having a film called 1408 which he is about to shoot.

hugh jackman,john cusack,jakegylenha;!?!....what a horrible choice!..lol!

liev is perfect......josh in close second(he has a creepy smile)

Jake Gyllenhaal > Josh Lucas IMO - but he is behind Joaquin Phoenix and Liev Schreiber who is number one.

Schrieber really is the fan favorite of this board for the role. Even though he remains a top candidate for me as well; Phoenix is a choice I'm also fond of. In my opinion he has everything needed for a type of role like Harvey. Unfortunately his name was only brought up once and never spoken of again.

My problem with Gyllenhaal is the voice. He just doens't have that deep, commanding voice that all the other candidates seem to have. He needs to sound like a man, even before he becomes Two-Face.

exactly..... its hard to fear him

Well you shouldnt really fear Harvey Dent. In Jarhead Gyllenhaal proved that he could certainly play crazy, so I think he could nail Two-Face - plus I like the idea of a younger Harvey Dent. The average D.A. in New York is 28 year old and Gyllenhaal could play that. I think the idea of a young Harvey Dent fighting hard to end Mafia Crime in order to prove himself worthy would make for a fairly intresting Harvey Dent. As far as his voice goes - use his normal voice for Harvey Dent and then modify it in editing for Two Face for a nice grizzly sound.

when i think of D.A i think of an old man....

has anyone seen the show "MediuM"?...thats how old i imagine it

Yes, when most people think of D.A.'s they normally think of Law and Order and Jack McCoy - however thats very rarely the case. I think a young, bold, daring, dedicated D.A. with a chip on his shoulder would make for a great Harvey Dent - however I still prefer Schreiber.

I don't see Gyllenhaal in the DA role same time being duality of Two-Face. but if Nolan cast him in the role and see what he can do with DA Dent/Two-Face.
