They've been out for a couple weeks at least. I kind of like 'em. But they seem like the packaging for small electronics where you have to take a big pair of scissors to in order to open them.

It is yeah if you stand to look at it, there kinda big letters. Does not really bother me though as their beautiful posters.

Probably because if it said "The Dark Knight," parents and (maybe) kids would associate it with a movie that's been released for awhile now, and thus might automatically not be considered as cool as the "next new thing."

I understand why they would want to change the title to "Batman" figures, rather than "The Dark Knight" figures. Still doesn't excuse the crappy packaging with "bad-photoshopped" quality graphics...
