The Dark Knight The Dark Knight Merchandise Returns

Damn you Harry Potter!! :cmad:

Does Rowling's owning his likeness expire or anything?? :csad:

It's ridiculous... what likeness? Neither of the characters even look like Oldman

Anyone have a link that makes this 'JK-Rowling-owns-Oldman's-likeness-and-therefore-he-can't-be-made-into-a-figure-for-any-other-film' official?

I've having trouble believing this since his character in both don't look anything like each other for one. Also, I don't think it's legal to own a person's likeness in relation to another property or franchise.

If anything, it's probably WB's choice to not use him for marketing reasons only.

I guess we'll just have to settle with the Dr. Smith (Lost in Space) action figure. :(

I suspect it is more like Rowlings owns the rights to the image of Oldman as Sirius Black (is that the guy's name?) , the only one who can own the rights to Gary Oldman's image is Gary Oldman. I suspect that if there is no permission to use his image for TDK products, it's because Oldman himself has not given it.

That sounds more plausible, Bale is doing the same thing with Terminator Salvation action figures. The only figure that has Bale's (John Connor) likeness so far is Hot Toys.

You can't blame him for that. I doubt I'd want my likeness being sloppily transferred to the kiddy toys... you might as well hold out for the best.

bring on the movie masters already..........damn you mattel, damn you

Which is the definitive one? :oldrazz:
We can't deny that the Tumbler is BADASS, but most definitive Batmobile for me. The one that screams: I'M BATMAN, is either...TAS or 89

60s is cool, but to me, Batman wouldn't drive a convertable lol

I've gotta say the Tumbler for me. But.. I'd love to see a Tumbler/TAS Batmobile hybrid.

Yeah, I'm hoping for a TAS-type Batmobile in part 3. Then Batman will have come full circle.

On a different note, has anybody purchased either the original suit Batman Kotobukiya or the Dark Knight version? They look cool, and I'm tempted to get one or the other.

No doubt. That Hot Toys Connor figure is the best one I've seen since BR Joker.

While I've really come to love 'the tumbler', the most definitive batmobile for me is the Burton batmobile.

Hello my fellow Hypers!

I just wanted to add a little tease for our Officially Licensed Batman Outerwear Line that is currently in development. The site is www.udreplicas.com and more content will be uploaded shortly.

There are a few other items shown on the 'In Development' page and soon enough the entire product range will start to go live.

We've been licensed for movie leather replicas as well as commercial goods based on the characters from the Batman world. These garments will be suitable for everyday wearing, and yes, there are other less obvious garments being produced as well.

A lot of new leather items are coming, these images are just the tip of the iceberg....with no compromise on quality.:)

Just a tease for now. :)
Enjoy!

Hey everyone,

I am unsure how often people check this anymore, but I am looking to get rid of one of my Dark Knight Movie Masters Chase Unmasked Batman. I sold a Ghoul on here a few months (I had two of each) and I think it is time to part with the unmasked.

I am asking for only $35 for it plus $5 priority shipping if you are in the USA. I am offering it cheap because because it has a crease/dent on the back of the box. As you can see, if you display, it is not noticeable. Only if you flip it around and look at it. It's a cheap and easy to obtain one if you don't already have it.

Send me a PM if interested.

I love the 60s batmobile and the tumbler, but I have to say '89. It was, after all, the first batmobile I saw in my life.
