BAD NEWS REGARDING MM FIGURES

STILL NO JOKER!

Forbidden Planet have pushed back the date even further for the release of Batman and Scarecrow MM's to 01/09/08.

Fear Toxins and Batman Begins figures are still listed for 30/07/08 but these will no doubt be pushed back again.

i dont know if this has been mentioned yet.....but there is a way to tell the difference between the wave 1 Movie Masters Jokers and wave 2. I still havent seen these jokers with the different face paints- the ones ive seen from wave 2 look exactly the same so far, but that not to say they arent out there. anyway the way ive noticed to differentiate between Wave 1 and Wave 2 Jokers is look on the side of the box (along where the figure stands). If you see holes punched in the clear plastic then its a wave 2- if there are no holes then its a wave 1.

I'm pretty sure my Wave 1 Joker box had holes in it as well.

Was able to hit the Target near my work (downtown Chicago). No MM's at all but I did manage to pick up the Batman/Thug mini 2 pack and the variant Tumbler (camoflauge). I'm content!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but have any of you EVER found any MM at Target or TRU? I know they weren't there when MMw1 came out May 1. Not sure if they came a few weeks later or anything. It just seems that Target has never had MM since they were released, but only the 5" basic line. The best bet for MM, at least from what i've gathered since their release in May, and where i've picked up all my MM figs, has been walmart. I haven't even been checking Target due to this speculation, thankfully i've been lucky enough to be at walmart at the right time and gather some MM.

Now that it was mentioned, I work at Kohl's so I can check tomorrow if we have any DK merchandise. We usually get stuff about 2 weeks before the film comes out, like hulk, indy and iron man. I havent been there since sometime last week but I'll check tomorrow when the truck comes in.

Definitely. I have Joker from midnight release May 1, and BB Bats and Scarecrow from midnight release today/last night. I was saying earlier on here, if I would've know these little bastards would be like searching for the Holy Grail, I would've sprung for the Bats and Goon figs from wave 1.

I don't really care much for the chase figure from wave 1, but i'm dying to get the fear toxin chase. That figure looks great.

We must shop at the same Target. Yeah, they don't even have pegs for MM. They're usually really up-to-speed on the newest figures, too like Iron Man and Hulk. Wonder what's taking them so long with these.

wait let me get this straight. backwards gauntlets ruin a $10 figure but a horrible head sculpt doesnt ruin a $150 figure?

The head sculpt to the HT's figure isn't bad, that's why. Add to the fact it's by far the most accurate 13 inch version of the figure.

And yes, how do you get everything spot on in detail and then have the gauntlets applied upside down on opposite arms?

Yes, they had them at my Wal-Mart last night.

so i dont know if anyone posted this, but has anyone else noticed that in the prologue "comic" that comes with the bluray, all of happy's lines are turned into joker lines? i think its a mistake because at one point, the joker asks himself how much ammo the bank manager has, and then he answers himself....so that's weird. that comic kind of sucks, anyways. thank god it comes with some other cool stuff.

I'm pretty sure my Wave 1 Joker box had holes in it as well.

not sure if this has been addressed... but wave 1 joker packages do NOT have the holes in the sides of the box. My wave 2 BB Bats and Scarecrow I was able to pick up today both have the holes in the side of the plastic, and I compared it to my wave 1 Joker packaging when I got home and it doesn't have the holes.

Nice little method of deciphering the originals from the re-issues, or wave 1 from wave 2, haha. Probably not a big deal, just wanted to clarify that the poster who mentioned the difference between w1 and w2 Joker's with holes in packaging is a correct method of inspection.
