Character You Would Like To Play: Benjamin Grimm/The Thing

Powers:

• Superhuman Durability: He can withstand the explosive effects of armor-piercing bazooka shells (15 pounds of high explosives) against his skin with no injury. The Thing's body is capable of withstanding extreme temperatures ranging from -75 degrees to 800 degrees Fahrenheit for up to one hour before exposure or heat prostration occurs. He is still susceptible to colds, disease, and emotional stress.
• Sensory Adaptation: The Thing's five senses can withstand greater amounts of sensory stimuli than he could when he was a normal human being, with no reduced sensitivity.
• Superhuman Strength: The Thing's main superhuman power is his phenomenal superhuman strength, making him one of the strongest superhumans in the Marvel Universe. Originally, he possessed sufficient superhuman strength to lift about 5 tons. For years, The Thing's strength was steady at 85 tons. However, over the years, his strength has increased dramatically due to further mutation and special exercise equipment designed for him by Reed Richards so that he can lift (press) in excess of 100 tons.
• Superhuman Stamina: The Thing can exert himself at high levels for about a day before the build-up of fatigue poisons in his blood impairs his performance. The Thing's lungs are of greater volume and efficiency than a normal man's, enabling him to hold his breath underwater for up to nine minutes.

Basic History Of The Character (Up until this point):
Benjamin Grimm is an agent of S.I.U., alongside Reed Richards, Johnny Storm, and Susan Storm. He has been trained intensively in piloting/astronaut skills, as well as hand-to-hand combat and espionage. He is also a very good friend of Reed, and the rest of his team. His dedication to his friends is by far his most valuable trait.
Three Reasons Why You Have Chosen That Character:

1. The storyline going on with the FF intrigued me.

2. The Thing is just plain awesome; people think of him as a slow, big hunk of orange rock--but in time, I will show readers how much of a badass he really is.

3. It's the Thing; come on!

What Do You Plan On Doing With This Character As A Person (IE: How are you changing him or her?): I'm going to portray The Thing more as a secret agent-like hero, as well as explore his hand-to-hand combat skills, and make him more of a strategic fighter, rather than putting all of the emphasis on power (although, that doesn't mean I'm making him weaker, either. )

Two Complete Sentences In Proper English Explaining What You Can Bring To This RPG (As A Player): I can bring a dedicated roleplayer who's ready to get involved in some great storylines. This is only the beginning!

Ben had just gotten the signal for help; it seemed as if the radio waves were delayed, for some odd reason. Activating the ignition of the helicopter, he then hovered upwards, before pushing forward on the throttle and booking it in Reed's direction.

"Hold on buddy, I'm approaching your location now. Be ready for extraction."

As he approached the ancient temple, two more choppers appeared behind him, both with stationed gunners on each side. Ben smirked, and pulled those Costa Del Mars over his eyes.

The first maneuver he performed was a quick deceleration, which then caused the two choppers to fly past him in an instant. Little did they know, S.I.U. had many gadgets implanted on their vehicles, including one that seemed to be just right for this situation.

"Giddy-up."

Ben's thumb then pressed a small activation module at the side of his controls. A small cylindrical device then extracted itself from within the chopper, which then released a large, black cable, whipping through the wind like an angry snake. The choppers were parallel to each other, which then attracted the magnetized ends of the rope to each of them, connecting them together. This caused a total distortion with each pilot, which then sent them crashing into each other, which resulted in quite a spectacular explosion.

Well I am probably going to be Green Goblin, but that doesn't help your FF problem. Besides, FF only has a few decent villians. Most of them are absolute crap.

I'm keeping juggs seperate from the X-men, and mandarin, whilst having started a mini war against stark, he's generally just against capitalism.

Mandarin - hugely intellligent etc.

Juggs - unstoppable destruction machine
