There's a post of mine from earlier where I laugh about my area's lack of snow. In about 12 hours, we are about to be hit by an Alberta Clipper, compounded by lake-effect snow. What's an Alberta Clipper, you say? Well, like everything that comes out of Alberta, it's awful.

I once described Alberta as "Canada's Alabama", but... not really in that sense. Though the Prairie provinces are useless turds shoved in between lovely, pleasant lands like BC and Ontario. So...

The family moved to the Poconos when I was a teen. Having lived in NYC my whole life until then it was all a big cultural shock to say the least. And this was close to thirty years back so the area we moved in was still really rural. Democratic operative James Carville once said of Pennsylvania, "There's Philly in the East, Pittsburgh to the west and it's Alabama inbetween." And... He was right.

Yes, the Georgia Swarm did eliminate the Toronto Rock en route to the NLL championship. A great achievement. Box lacrosse is the superior lacrosse.

So I thought I'd check out the Netflix show Dark. Five minutes in I was out. It's a foreign language show that they dubbed over. I can't even take it when the voices don't match lip movements, like those awful Japanese monster movies I watched as a kid. No thanks.
