STAN if you completely missed it, is the Guy in the truck who tries to wrap a chain around Mjolnir and pull it out loosing the bed of his truck. THAT got alot of laughs.

At the midnight show, which of course, was filled with geeks and nerds, went crazy at Stan Lee's cameo. It was just really well done I'd say

I saw the movie for a second time today and I'm pretty sure Coulson even called him "Barton" too...I didn't hear it the first time.

I caught most of the references except two. I saw the eyeball thing from Dr. Strange. Forgive me, I don't remember what it's called.

What were the other two objects they showed in that same scene? One just looked like some kind of rock statue, I'll have to look closer this Sunday.

I've been looking for the image/cover where Thor is destroying the bifrost.

Was that part of the movie lifted from JMS run on Thor or The disassembled story?

I remember seeing the image either as a cover for a trade or issue, but I can't seem to dig it up!

I've been digging around and have turned up a common link between some of the scientific bigwigs in this film series. Culver University.

Bruce Banner, Betty Ross and Leonard Samson have all worked there. Erik Selvig worked there and the Thor movie site also states that Darcy Lewis was a student there as well.

That reminds me of my friend kind of. Last year at Iron Man 2 we saw it with my girlfriend at the time. The after credits scene she said "Wait. I don't get it." my friend looked at her, "That hammer belonged to Thor, he's God son and lives in Heaven."

I was a bit taken back by Selvig's comments about SHIELD coming in and making Banner disappear. That didn't happen in TIH so I worry now that Whedon is almost going to pretend TIH didn't happen in the Avengers.

This is a page from the Art of Thor book. It shows the six artifacts that make an appearance (however briefly) in the film. There's also the Casket, obviously.

The only things identified (in the book) are the Eternal Flame, the Warlock Eye and the Infinity Gauntlet.

Well, just because it didn't happen in TIH, that doesn't mean it didn't happen at all.

He said Shield came in, and he never heard from him again...it could've just been something that happened sometime after Stark's conversation with Ross at the end...

TIH didn't cover that part. He had been on the run for a while, (read disappeared) when the movie started. It was said that all the research had been seized and Betty managed to save that one thing. Most assume it was the military that seized it. I guess it was Shield. It never said that much at the time.

It could be something that happened AFTER TIH but not shown, you never know Marvel might bring out a comic to tie on what happened after TIH to The Avengers.

i think it's more of the fact that the public doesn't know that banner is the hulk. so for the science community they only know that banner was working on gamma stuff then disappeared.

By the way, I'd like to add that this is Stan Lee's best cameo in a Marvel movie yet, imo. It was just hilarious and so well received in the theater.

And if you look closely during the scene at the diner when Thor smashes the coffee cup to the floor, right before he gets up to ask where the hammer was found, Stan Lee's pickup drives past in the street outside. A friend pointed it out to me. Marvel Studios' best film so far, hands down!

was that olivier coipel that looks at thor right after the sif simonson scene? some guy is show for like a second he turns his head to look at thor walk by couldnt really make out who it was.

In regards to the Banner reference, things could get embellished among them as well. Although with SHIELD I don't expect much embellishment.
