The Easter-Eggs thread

I feel like branching out with more Easter Egg threads.

So what do we want to see?

The main Easter Egg that I want to see in Thor is more of the Infinity Gauntlet and more mystery revolving Thanos because I know that GOTG is going to feature him a lot, but I wouldn't mind more development/set-up with Thanos in TDW.

Plus, I would like a Easter Egg or a cameo of The Casket of Ancient Winters especially when Malekith is involved in the film.

But to be honest, I don't want LOADS of Easter Eggs like Iron Man 2 or the pilot of Agents of SHIELD because even though I, along with many people had problems with Iron Man 3, I like the fact it was more about Tony and there wasn't A LOT of Easter Eggs and no SHIELD was involved like Iron Man 2 etc that sometimes can bog the films down like some of the Phase 1 films.

So with Thor TDW, I want it to be like Iron Man 3, where no SHIELD is involved and just a couple of Avengers references here and there and like I said above, I would like more set-up with Thanos and that's all it needs really.

That would be a good one. Also, mentions/sightings of some famous characters from the 9 realms, like Ulik, Geirrodur, Karnila and even Fafnir!

But , ultimately, I will just settle for a good Thor movie .

Yeah that would be great too, with Marvel going cosmic though, I would love to see BRB himself as I think he will be involved in the cosmic movies.

I still think he'd make a great add to Guardians of the Galaxy as the Normal Cyborg Bill.

I have no doubt he will be involved with them at some point, he was a big part of The Annihilators who in the comics were the team that succeeded the GOTG once Quill died in The Thanos Imperative. So I can see him being heavily involved in the cosmic side anyway whether he is Cyborg Bill or Stormbreaker Bill.

This is a great a point.

Using Cyborg Bill for a while is a way to get a great character into the MCU without having to deal with people crying "Thor Clone," and it allows the general audience to get to know him before a possible "Saga of Beta Ray Bill" adaptation in Thor movie number 6.

It looks like we will in some way get some set-up for Thanos and GOTG in a post credits scene because in another thread, a user posted this link of a SPECULATED, but will probably end up being true about the post credit scene of Thor 2 will be about Benicio Del Toro's The Collector getting this sphere item that Kurse has.

Just on a side note: IN MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION, unless anyone else thinks this also, I think Marvel is keeping something under wraps about Benicio Del Toro. I don't think he is playing The Collector, I think he is indeed going to play Thanos, I just think Marvel is using The Collector as a cover up until they announce he is playing Thanos.

Because think about, you wouldn't cast a talent like Benicio Del Toro and just cast him as this Collector character. I think he is Thanos, plus in my opinion he sort of has that face for Thanos and the voice.

Usually I would put something like this down to fanboyism but I actually think you are onto something here. Del Toro apparently signed for multiple movies, something like 6 was the number I believe, and I just cant see The Collector being that prominent a character in the MCU, GOTG and then maybe ONE more appearance would be it for TC I think. But Thanos, he could be in 10 MCU movies let alone 6 as he is always coming back to life and thinking up new schemes.

EXACTLY! That was another point I was going to make about Benicio being signed up for multiple films and The Collector doesn't seem like a character that would pop up in other films.

Plus I was watching the GOTG comic con panel again and when Benicio was asked about his character he said "I play a character called The Collector... and he collect things" and to me it was like he was hiding something because once again, you wouldn't waste a talent like Benicio Del Toro on a character like The Collector because it could be anyone.

I believe that Marvel already know who they cast as Thanos and I believe it is Benicio and I think their using The Collector as a 'John Harrison' until they announce that he is playing Thanos.
