Reactions seem good but more mixed than Shangchi. I'm glad that Marvel tried to take more risk with this movie, but the "nothing like the MCU " and comparing it to the DCEU is a bit worrying. I hope they don't over do it and alienate majority of the fans. They are the ones that made the MCU the global phenomenon it is today. I hope at its core its still a very entertaining movie.

This sounds like one of those movies which will take a few viewings to digest and I love those movies.

It seems if one has a tough time following multiple story lines told through flashbacks (of thousands of years on top of that), this could feel disjointed and confusing. And if one expects much CBM CGI battle galore, this could feel slow and underwhelming where emotions take the front seat.

I am eager and curious to see how different it is from other MCU staples. Many of them, despite all cliches of a formula, are already pretty distinct from each other to me. I am looking more forward to this than Spider-Man, and hopefully the theaters won’t cut out the gay element (most like they will to get the kid friendly rating *sigh*).

Is this a Top 6 or is there a tie for number 3 between Black Panther and IW.

So even though I see a high placing on your ratings I also see a couple of things that don’t line up at all with my own personal preference. So I do wonder how will Eternals work for me.

Yes, apologies. It sits at No.6 for me. I'm in total agreement with some of the screening reactions tonight. It's definitely a completely different movie than anything seen in the MCU to date, which just great and for me was really refreshing. I honestly believe the love for this film will grow with multiple viewings.

Im really looking forward to this. Reviews are exactly what I want and would give those MCU-formula critics something to eat.

The reactions are actually more interesting than what I’d expected. It’s not this hyperbolic unanimous “best MCU movie!” praise that these movies usually gets. A lot more mixed early reactions compared to recent Marvel films. This film will inevitably get a fresh score on RT, but I can see this film being fairly divisive compared other MCU films.
