Chapek is also the guy who wanted to screw over Scarlett. I have a bad feeling about him. From what I’ve read, he’s not very well liked.
Is that option or the default aspect ratio in Disney+. I'm not a fan of imaX's aspect ratio. So all Marvel movies that have been shot in Imax (either in part or entirely) so far will be made available in that aspect ratio on Disney Plus this Friday. I'm hoping Eternals will follow suit once it's available on streaming. Would love to see some of the scenes in 16:9.

I hate the black bars. 40% of the screen is wasted. I always stretch the image. Sorry, purists.
No, I don't lose information. I just stretch the image so I can erase de black bars. Is it all distorted? Yes. But at least I use 100% of the TV. I don't do it with all movies of course, but the ones that deserve a bigger screen? Sure.Wtf? You're distorting the image. You're losing tons of information.

Though this is a great option, it's amusing that we put so much effort moving to 16:9 widescreen TVs 15 years ago, only for something like this to possibly start paving the way for us back to a 4:3 ratio.
The only way to get the complete IMAX experience is actually watching the movie on IMAX.
Widescreen looks more cinematiX to me.I think it's optional. Also, why don't you like it? The shifting? Infinity War and Endgame are in the Imax aspect ratio all the way through. Shang-Chi as well.

I dislike how Avengers 2012and Ant-Man havea different aspect ratio.
Yeah because of how their theaters were constructed, but I definitely don't want their aspect ratio while watching movies in the tele and phone. The only way to get the complete IMAX experience is actually watching the movie on IMAX.
Its fullscreen not widescreen.

You know what I mean, most mcu movies have those black bars - the standard widescreen aspect ratio 2:40:1 iirc. Its noticeable when watching them on the telly. On the mobile, I like to zoom it in, so there aren't black bars on the side. No, 2.40:1/2.39:1/2.35:1/1.90:1/1.85:1/1.78:1 are all considered widescreen. Fullscreen is the 4:3 (1.33:1) aspect ratio.

Avengers/Ant-Man have an aspect ratio similar or closer to HD telly series. Which is a lot of people commented that Avengers looks like it was shot for the telly.
IMAX aspect ratio, is also more simila or closer to the aspect ratio of shows for the telly - no black bars/fullscreen.
