I'm a never really too concerned about ratings. If a movie is good and entertains me, I could give two ****s what the rating is. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna have a good time watching The Expendables 2.

I just watched this today. Another good one of Lundgren's. An awesome throwback to 80's action movies, from 1999.

Directed by action legend Isaac Florentine. The fights in the Undisputed films absolutely crap over anything we got in the first Expendables.

Always had a soft spot for 'Pentathlon'.

Anyone who thinks Dolph cant act should watch that movie.

Interesting trivia about Undisputed II. J.J. Perry was the fight choreographer. He was Cyrax and Scorpion in MK Annihilation, Sub-Zero in MK Conquest. He done fight choreography and stunt coordinating for the upcoming Haywire and Bullet to the Head respectively.

I want to see him direct an action movie. After I watch any actioner, especially Martial arts movies, I always check the stunt credits. Well anyway, after Undisputed 2 I saw J.J. Perry's name and was thinking this was choreographed by the guy in the Cyrax/Scorpion costume!?

After doing some more research I learned that he has also done 2nd unit directing on these.

Bullet to the Head
Cat Run
The Experiment
The Tournament
Blood and Bone
Undisputed II

So as said, I would love to see his directorial debut one of these days. And maybe involvement in an Expendables sequel. Seriously.

Van Damme's done so many Action gems. Some of my favorites of his in no order:

Hard Target
Universal Soldier
Double Impact
Timecop
Nowhere To Run
Bloodsport
Kickboxer
Death Warrant.

Yuuup!

All great JCVD actioners. Loved Hard Target and Double Impact and it would great to see John Woo direct JCVD again in an action film.

Sudden Death wasn't bad either and Lionheart was decent.

I have yet to see Sudden Death but have always wanted to see it.

You need to see it. Immediately. Van Damme beats the **** out of a giant penguin mascot. In a kitchen, no less, making use of various deadly kitchen elements along the way. If that doesn't make you want to see it, you need to check yourself!!

Van Damme alone is reason for me to see it, so I'll try to track it down and watch it ASAP.

Saw that picture before. Amusing to see, but Arnold is really beginning to show his age there :(

He does look terrible. My dear departed Nanna looked like that when she was put on a course of steroids by a doctor for an illness; her face was bloated like that.

I guess it all comes down to the issue of age again and the regret that they could never do this kind of movie when they were in their prime.

Watch the making of Expendables documentary. Stallone was constantly getting battered. He;s probably having surgery in that picture for the same shoulder that he had issues with during the making of Expendables. Yeah, they're both getting old, and their bodies are starting to weaken, but in terms of their mind and will power - Stallone can still hold his own.

On a side note, concerning the ratings issue, that documentary clearly shows quite a bit of the movie's more graphic violence - including the shotgun tearing the pirate in two - and the documentary was rated PG-13.

Probably because it's footage a documentary, and not the reality of the film.

If Safe House is R, I fear for a PG-13 Expendables.

Yeah, it's footage they're using for the documentary. It's educational, it's not the film. If you think the warning shot is PG-13 I don't know what to tell you.

Sigh. It has nothing to do with being "educational"; most documentaries aren't even submitted to the MPAA, though there ARE plenty of documentaries that are R rated. I'm certainly NOT saying the scene is pg 13, if you think that I am, then I don't know what to tell you. I'm merely pointing out an example that like with regular movies, you can have instances such as the shotgun scene in a pg13 movie. The difference is how often those types of scenes are included (same goes with use of the F word, sex scenes, etc).

Honestly this all just goes to show how inconsistent, and flat out idiotic, the MPAA is.

And yes, I seriously thought you where trying to say the shotgun scene was PG-13. :o

Ouch ... Arnold is not looking good there. His age is really starting to show.

Even though Stallone is a year older than Arnold he still looks quite good and healthy for his age, whereas Arnold is looking every bit of his 64 years.

He still looks quite old there, like his age is catching up with him, even if not as much as in the other picture.
