The Expendables 2 - Part 2

I couldn't help but listen to the entire review. I think I'll enjoy it more than they did.

I watched Red Scorpion today. It's a shame Dolph wasn't as popular. He was awesome in this type of role. Also I thought he was one of the highlights of The Expendables. I haven't seen Punisher or Masters of the Universe in years. I might have to catch up on those and some of his dtv work.

I'm in the same boat... big Dolph fan, but I think he was ridiculously typecast as a big dumb blonde ruskie that it took years if not forever for him to breakthrough... and when he did with Unisol he followed it up with Johnny Mnemonic!!

Also tough that he had major competition with Arnie/Sly/Bruce/JCVD he just never found his niche.

I think it helps his acting has improved a lot over the years and the aging process added much needed character to his face... I think he could still crank out some Liam Neeson type roles if given the chance. Hopefully he turns some heads with the sequel and gets another shot at the limelight.

It's Simon West directing... I mean were basically getting Con Air the sequel except sub in all the greatest action heroes of all time.

Take my money! :hrt:

Are they purposely not giving Van Damn much advertisement to give him more mystic when ppl see the movie or what? I'm more of a Van Damn fan than most of those guys..
I figure hes the main bad guy so I guess that's part of the plan to keep him a mystery?

Here is what I think happened. They planned on making the movie PG-13 and that's why all the blood is CGI'ed in, maybe they were saving that for a DVD director's cut. But that's why no cursing bad language. They were going to make it more cartoony violent in this one with probably some less blood. Going by everything in that review, it sounded like they wanted to release the movie at PG-13 but when fans got pissed about that they changed their minds late in the game.

Well isnt that what happened with the first one too. Because that one had a bunch of CGI blood too

Millennium Films deal exclusively in CGI blood, The Mechanic and Drive Angry which where R rated form the get go, all had only digital blood.

Take my money MF!!!! CGI blood or not I'm seeing this movie like 17 times while it's in theaters... whatever it takes to get Dolph/JCVD back on the big screen!

I had no problems with the EX1 digital blood.

But people seem to forget this film has squibs in it too.

FYI, JC and Dolph will also be seen in theaters for the third time in November for Universal Soldier 4.

Man, in Universal Soldier, he was absolutely amazing! Dolph I mean, But he also had many weak movies, perhaps too many!

I hope Dolph gets better roles going forward.

LOL, by theaters I think you mean discount bins ;) .

If you don't dig the recent Universal Soldier film and aren't looking forward to the next one, you really shouldn't be in this thread.

That'a a silly thing to say. I didn't really like the last US but I'm looking forward to Expendables 2.

This thread is for Expendables 2...he can rag on Universal Soldier all he wants.

That review sounds pretty good to me, nothing horribly bad about it.

The part about Chuck Norris made me laugh...them kinda referring to the "Chuck Norris Facts" as to how badass he is. I could see him slamming one of the revolving doors into a guys face as a nod to that joke.

so is the bird (or bird wings) that's associated with the Expendables a raven or crow?

I haven't been following the story too much on this one. Whose death are they avenging? Has it even been said?

Finally this is up. We had this before our showing of The Dark Knight Rises. So funny...

LOL, who is that kid?

I think that was one of the first turn off your phone ads that was actually funny.

Oh right, that show is also getting a movie made as well.

The new clip teaches you how to use a motorcycle to shoot down a helicopter.:wow:
