Just watched this on BD, 3rd time seeing it and still loved it, its so much fun its unbelievable, seeing Arnie back in action was just the icing on a great cake, and Chuck's scene's were priceless!

Honestly the Nepal opening was better than the climax IMHO. They had to shoot around the fact that they only had Bruno, Arnie and Carlos for a couple of days and Statham vs. Adkins/Sly vs. Van Damme had their allocated shooting time cut, it all translated to a rushed finale. The opener (And the Ex1 finale) had more room to breathe and they feel more fully formed.

Well thats a damn shame, loved the finale we got but Sly vs JCVD and Statham vs Adkins, while awesome, definately could have done with more meat to them, they both seemed over far too quickly, the fights in the first movie seemed more satisfying.

I thought JC the VD did a really good job as a villian in the movie.

Yeah he was great, just wish he had more to do, especially in the finale, would have been nice to maybe see him taking down an Expendable hand-to-hand before fighting Sly.

Oh yeah, I could not agree more.. I was getting at the persona he put out as a villian was great.. they could have done allot more with his character. And Im not the biggest JCVD fan either.

Statham and Adkins can't catch a break. Adkins was originally cast as the main villain of Safe. But he didn't get his visa issued in time and they had to re cast to Anson Mount. Which is why that film's ending is so abrupt.

Same here, loved JCVD back in the day but was never a huge fan, but here he was great with what he was given.

Havent seen Safe, but the ending of Ex2 definately had something missing, the fights in the first movie felt much more satisfying and hard hitting.

Even though he's kicking on a bit, JCVD's got more on-screen charisma than most of the new, younger, action guys. Saying that, the same could be said of most of the old guard (Sly, Arnie etc).

Yeah absolutely. The whole EX1 climax felt more fulfilling.

Definately, and I cant believe I am saying when the Ex2 climax featured Sly, Arnie, Bruce, Chuck and JCVD, not to mention Dolph, how on Earth did they mess this up?

Definately, not many younger actors are going to take over the mantle, Hemsworth (the more famous one) and Pine seem the only two capable at the moment.

Jackie Chan Says He is in The Expendables 3
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=98159

With the first film earning $274.5 million and the second $300.4 million at theaters worldwide, it is almost guaranteed that Lionsgate will be making The Expendables 3 and it sounds like they have a big addition for the third installment lined up.

Talking at a press conference for CZ12 in Kuala Lumpur, Jackie Chan said he is on board. "Sly had invited me to be in 'Expendables 2' but I was too busy filming 'CZ12' and couldn't make a commitment to the film. But he did extend his invitation to the third movie, which I agreed on the condition that I will be appearing as more than just a minor role with a few scenes."

He added that he hoped the third installment of the franchise would run along the lines of a 'buddy-buddy' movie should Chan be starring in it, to which Sylvester Stallone obliged.

Chan said he also hopes to be reteaming with his "Rush Hour" co-star Chris Tucker soon. The script they are currently working with is for a movie with the title Skip Tracer, but the actor said it could be turned into Rush Hour 4.

"The script is currently viewed by Chris Tucker," he said. "Personally, I feel that if he were to pick it up, it would be better if we turned it into 'Rush Hour 4,' but I do think that three movies for the franchise is a perfect ending. It would be better to start a new buddy movie with someone new."

China pretty much saved the film box office wise at least. It did surprisingly well there and that's pretty much the only reason a sequel is coming. So it's not suprising their bringing in more chinese actors.

Although jackie is usually very PG so i wonder how their gonna deal with the violence? I believe jackie has a no killing policy on film.

As cool as the Chan news is, I cant help thinking 'if only Bruce Lee was still alive'.....................

While the Expendables news is awesome, I think I'm even more excited to hear about a new "buddy comedy" flick with Jackie Chan.

Jackie might as well do Rush Hour 4 if Chris is up for it & the new buddy movie

I also understood why he wore sunglasses the entire time. Van Damme's eye bags are a wonder to behold.
