The Expendables 4

I know I'm in the minority here but Expendables 3 was my favorite and had the best cast that finally fulfilled the promise of so many action heroes together.
So watching the trailer for this 4th one it feels like a huuuuge step down. Probably fun and unharmful for a Saturday afternoon though, but I'm not anticipating it as much.

The problem with ALL of the Expendables movies was that the climaxes always devolved into unremarkable gun fights. You're assembling the action genre's biggest icons and all you have them do is stand there and fire guns. Dont get me wrong, I love gun battles as much as the next when they're done well (see: the John Wick movies) but come on, you've got people like Jet Li, Snipes, Van Damme, Gibson and Statham...lets mix it up a bit.

if they brought in Iko and Tony jaa just to fire pistols I'm gonna be so peeved.

It’s crazy that this is a theatrical film.

I mean, the other 3 weren’t classics by any means, but this is a huge step down from even that.

I’m sure Sly cameos for all of 5 minutes.

Shocker this movie is apparently garbage. I think we all called this from the day they annoucned it. However! Supposedy Statham and Iko have a badass fight scene with each other thats a standout. So that…un something i guess. Other than that this sounds like low rent 90s action movie trash.

I am LOVING the reactions to movie. Almost nobody likes this thing. Campea said he walked out of it at 32 minutes and called it one of the worst movies ever put to screen.

Good lord help me it was awful. Everything about it is terrible. The directing and editing is so bad at times I couldn’t help wondering how the hell they released this. 3 was very disappointing for me but this one was just abysmal.

I don’t know about tv but The trailer for this was with almost every movie I saw in the past few months. It just looked terrible.

This franchise is done and done. Congratulations, Hollywood, you sunk another one into the ground.

Other than the 2nd one, the concept of The Expendables never lived up to the hype.

And now when you have stuff like John Wick, Atomic Blonde, the Fast series, Mission Impossible, eastern cinema doing non genre sci fi...what's the point of the Expendables?
I really am confused why they made this 4th one. It's been so long since the 3rd which not many liked and no one was really asking about this.
