That would be quite the night.

The surprise so far in the trailers is how much fun Elba seems to be having playing the bad guy - he seems to have realized exactly the kind of tone the film has and decided he’ll play his bad guy appropriately.

Braxton looks like he’s having a ball and leaning into a “competition” with Hobbs and Shaw just for the sheer macho hell of it. I’m half convinced the reason he and his men don’t shoot the Hobbs family during their Hakka is because it’s too cool to interrupt and he’s excited at the idea of fighting old school.
