I like him bad, but I also like him as a part of the regular cast. He isn't Big Bad material. He works for someone else, and doesn't have some extreme ideology that leads him to world domination. That isn't his kind of evil. He just has questionable morals and a loyalty to a Big Bad. He lacks the proper motive.

It would be great to see a little redemption out of him by show's end (saving Skye or not going alone with Garrett's master plan, once the whole plan is revealed). Maybe have it look like he died in an explosion, only to turn up early next season, playing a bad guy spy for hire. Then they could incorporate him back in the group as an untrusted but necessary evil based on the knowledge he has about whatever the new threat is (eventually developing a true conscious and choosing to be a good guy a la Spike/Jane/standard bad guy turned good).

He's a punch clock guy, only working for Garrett, who probably isn't going to be around much longer.

I can't see him as a villain on his own either so either he dies, redeems himself, or becomes a kind of independent 3rd party that occasionally helps the team even though they don't like or trust him anymore.

Hopefully he doesn't go back to the team he's more Interesting Evil than when he was with Shield.

Skye then needs to kick him in his junk. Other than that, I think he will redeem himself somehow and rejoin the team at some point. It may not be this season though.

You can redeem yourself for joining a bad group....it's a lot harder to redeem yourself for multiple counts of murder.

But I don't want him dead, I like the idea of a recurring nemesis for the team and he could be our eyes and ears on the other side of the fence after all there's a lot out there other than Hydra and being the counter to the Black Widow he can be working for the future nemesis's of the Agents of SHIELD series!

In this case, it's more about who he's killing and less about the number (he's always been a killer spy).
But yeah, if he gets back in with Coulson's crew, he'll still be the untrusted bad guy. The writers would have to come up with a storyline that would great a necessity (worse threat than Ward himself) for the Agents to have him around (and free).

I seriously doubt he'll die this season.I'd like to see him redeem himself,and I bet he will to some extent.

We already know he's got a thing for Skye and he even said to Raina something to the effect of "Coulson's a good man,but I owe him (Garrett) more."So I think he'll eventually die protecting one or more of the team from a bigger bad.(probably next season) I don't think he'll rejoin the team,but he'll do the right thing in the end.

Exactly. When it was clear he killed Hand and two SHIELD agents in cold blood, he was no longer redeemable. I left open the point that he was being mind controlled or something, ala Bucky, but it's clear he's 100% evil.

That is true, he has killed an awful lot of agents. And he knowingly turned over graviton to Garrett. That said, somehow I really feel like at some point his tide will turn. I am probably wrong though.

Ward is great as a bad guy but he's gotta die for his crimes. He needs to be shot down while trying to kill his former teammates. And they should make Skye pull the trigger. That would be a fitting end for the most wooden relationship in the MCU.
