stop hoping Willie. you'll only end up constantly disappointed.
Watch Incredibles instead . That's as close as we're going to get.

If by some miracle something does get worked out, then it'll come as a nice surprise.

Yeah, you're right and I don't want to get my hopes up just to be disappointed again.

But seriously, with as bad as this is shaping up to be, can Fox even pretend they're going to try again in 7 years? If Marvel offers them a dollar, Fox should grab it and say 'thank you'.

I'm sure Marvel would be willing to offer some small something to get the rights back neat and clear and hopefully Fox won't hesitate to take the deal.

I WAS looking forward to it, but Fox took away Trank's grit and replaced it with *****.
The original 130 minute Trank cut was probably gritty masterpiece. Now I'm waiting for the Director's Cut.

That's the thing: I'm not sure it was all Fox. I think it was 50/50. I think Trank did a bad job at making the F4 gritty. Fox didn't like it an tried to change the tone and you have this Arad up movie. I think they are both to blame and you see the final project. There are rumors that Trank did this with Chronicles but got bailed out as well.

It's bizarre how I was once looking forward to this movie before the reshoots. Everything sounded good to me back then even if it was FFINO. I even liked the first teaser.

The first half does have me curious. But paying $8 for a half a movie. I dunno

Kelly is going to be so disappointed. She wanted for there at least to be a strong role for Sue....from what I have read so far, that didn't happen.
Sue was the only character I had any hope left for. Kinberg said they casted her as someone more mature than the others, and it looked liked her powers were going to be fully utilized (Sue theoretically should be the most powerful and versatile of the team). But nope, like VictorDomashev said: all she gets is that at least she's not part of a druken juvenile stunt. :whatever:

I still don't understand how she got powers if she never went on the trip.
Probably from the explosion as the others are returning. You can see it in the trailer:

I am so sick of you FF know-it-alls, yes the comic Reed would leave his friends in captivity for a year--- they're being guarded.
How would he set them free? Who would help him? Who would give him a plan of action?
Just because he was an 8 year old who inventedinter-dimensional travel doesn't mean he's a brilliant strategist!

There are so many things that are so WRONG in this story. Ben just willingly being used as a weapon for a year? And he never just crammed a tank up Elder/Allen's butt?

Once again, a romantic connection between Doom and Sue? Almost every sentence of every description of every scene got on my nerves.

Good luck with that.
I'm willing to bet FOX destroyed all of Trank's unused footage of this movie out of spite, considering what we heard about how he behaved during production...

(Then again, the studio does have a history of releasing "Director's Cut"s of previous Marvel properties...)

:word:

A few weeks ago I had set a price of $100 plus ticket price for me to see this. After reading these reviews, someone would have to pay me $500 plus my ticket for me to sit through it. I would have a hard time not throwing things at the screen.

F*** you Fox. F*** you so much.

I'm pretty sure Krystal was being sarcastic. I thought it was pretty obvious.

This is actually a good thing. Since Fox hasn't even tried to do Doom, Marvel can do him right and nobody will even know it's supposed to be the same guy.

Marvel Studios villains are the weakest most throw away things in their films so Marvel Studios Doom would probably disappoint you as much as Fox's. Sure, he will look like Doom, but he'll be one note, looking for revenge or domination for some one note generic reason, come apart in the 3rd act and become a punching bag then be killed off by the end.

Only Loki has even remotely stood out and he is more of a tragic anti-hero than an outright evil villain.

The part with them leaving her behind is just symbolic of how idiotic this whole story is. "Here's an idea! Let's take Doom on the mission and leave Sue behind. That makes sense for a Fantastic Four film, doesn't it?"

But how many of the villains Marvel have been able to use have been as top tier as Doom?

Well, she needs to make the sandwiches for when they get back. What else do you expect her to do? :o

That's certainly been a frustration of mine - that I don't feel any Marvel villains have lived up to their potential. I thought Ultron would be it, but that was obviously a let-down.

. . . But I'd still rather take my chances with Marvel.

So in fact, the FF are actually Reed, Doom, Johnny and Ben, and Sue is the 5th wheel.

So really it is FFINO even more than we thought.

On a scale of 1 to 10 how ****ed is Josh Trank's career?

Better still --

On a scale of 1 to 10 how ****ed are the Fantastic Four and Dr Doom as far as ever headlining a blockbuster movie ever again after 3 attempts with diminishing returns?

That's the real crime. The actors will survive a blip in their resume, but the characters they represent are now completely damaged goods.

Maybe The Asylum would hire him ?
:funny: A-list director.

That is sad for the property and the fanbase.
