The FFINO ZONE - Part 2

Those that knew nothing about Doom thinks he's a Norman Osborn knockoff as well as forever being created with the FF thanks to FOX films.

Considering Trank recommended none of the cast read the FF comics, I wouldn't be surprised if his own understanding of Doom is soley based on the Story FF films.

Yes there is. 616 Doom conquered Latveria prior to the beginning of the series. UFF Doom conquered Latveria after the series already started. Doom is a dictator. That's what his role is in the story. That isn't how he's portrayed in any of the Fox films but that's what Doom is supposed to be according to the comics.
There is no traditional Doom in this movie. People believed they changed Doom here from a hacker blogger to the traditional character. They didn't. And they still have elements of the hacker blogger crap.

Mark Ellis Thoughts on FF.

Embargo officially over! Can it battle back fron 17% up to 75?
Cause Teller said "these kinds of movies rarely do 80%--so I'm not expecting 80, but maybe 75-70.

I'll agree to that.

Doom should be saved for a sequel. Hopefully Marvel will get their hands on the FF and then have Doom appear in post credit scenes for the FF reboot, Black Panther 2 and Avengers on Phase 4, then have Doom appear in all his glory to spite Reed Richards for daring to discover the Negative Zone when Doom deserved more attention for creating a machine that passed the Turing Test, then drive Scarlet Witch to madness to the point where she kills Vision for the Avengers having the audacity to allow Namor on the team after he caused a tsunami which leveled the Balkans and Greece. Phase 4 should be the breather episode. Phase 5 should be where Norman Osborn takes over SHIELD and kills Gwen Stacy while Doom has his revenge on the world's self appointed heroes.

That sounds sadly accurate. Doom's powers here don't resemble his powers in UFF.

Mark Ellis' review was probably accurate, but it was way longer and in-depth than it needed to be.

Imagine their surprise and delight when they are one day confronted with the real thing.

Ben Grimm..."43 confirmed kills". Seriously?

In one flash on the screen moment they have our ever loving blue eyed Thing having killed more people than Wolverine has on film. These would be humans too, not anything that could actually hurt him!!

I have no words...Captain Picard will have to speak for me

I can't imagine what goes in the mind of someone that writes the ever lovin' Thing as an assassin.

Schnepp and campea have been swallowing the fox sword so hard for this movie for so long they probably have no choice but to like it lol.

I guess Superman now has competition.

Eh. Campea was adamantly against it at first, but then changed his tune. Schnepp has been 100% behind it since day one, but if I recall correctly one of his friends worked on it so I'd consider him somewhat biased.

That isn't any version of Thing I know. Marvel need their rights back.

I like him too but he can be a bit inconsistent lol all those drugs man :p

I would love to see Thing share the screen with Hulk. Would be glorious. I'm really curious to see what Fox decides to do.

I interviewed Schnepp once and I liked him a lot.

As horrible as I thought this movie was, I can understand why people might enjoy it.

Why? It's different. This is not your typical Marvel film. It is different night and day from something like Ant-Man, Age of Ultron, even the original Fantastic Four films.

The film embraces realism in its look, however it is only superficial. The movie IMHO is not truly gritty or realistic IMHO. It simply tries to come off that way. So people possibly tired of bright and imaginative and maybe whimsical popcorn fare probably want something different. This film looks more akin to M. Night Shymalan's Sixth Sense or Unbreakable.

But I think the critics who find it appealing because it looks and feels different. At the beginning, the film is kind of like that cult sci-fi film Explorers. It's like some errant kids making a cool invention to travel between dimensions. However, it is weakly done. No chemistry or really any characterizations at all.

Man down to 14% again on RT....this keeps getting worse.

Also 3.9/10 average. That's crazy.

The movie is a dud for most professional movie critics.

For comic fanboys it seems divisive. elmayimbe, Faraci both have quite favourable impressions (nothing excellent but not tragic) whilst others hate it. Campea's middle ground.

I don't think Schnepp has even seen it yet. He said something about probably going on Thursday to check it out, so him favoriting Faraci's review is probably due to his own built in enthusiasm. He'll most likely be crushed like he was with TASM2.

Faraci and Elmayimbe are hacks. Don't lump them in with us. With comic book fans, this has been the most reviled comic book film since Green Lantern, even before it's come out. There's no divisiveness.

So what's up with the die-hard supporters of this flick? It's like they just mysteriously vanished.

They smelled a bomb when the bombs started coming and got out of dodge.

It's like this film realized the horrific visions of what could've been Tim Burton's Superman Lives.

It may sound like I am exaggerating, but I'm not. This was a horrendous movie. This is to Fantastic Four what Catwoman was to Catwoman and Batman.
