They should just aggregate all of the negative reviews into this one.

Civil War is the only film I'm not looking forward too. Ultron drained me enough, and I don't think I can handle another Avengers film, which it really is.

I am looking forward to Dr. Strange from Marvel because that will be different.

Dr strange is my most anticipated cbm next year, but the others are closer to release so I just didn't mention it. I'm super hyped for cw though. Also I'm excited for suicide squad too.

Does anyone know what Liefeld said about Trank? I can't find the tweet.

He's claiming that Fox will make a sequel and they won't give back the rights.

So Liefeld thinks Fox is stupid enough to dig their heels in like that? I almost want him to be right in a perverse sort of way.

Yup, among many other horrors passed off as 'art'.

The dude is just p#ssed he isnt getting royalties from merch. His Marvel creations I think are all at Fox, and they aint getting squat.

He'll get a nice check from Deadpool though.
Of course it must be about money, it's always about money with these people.

Rob Liefeld knows about as much about the film industry as he does about comic book art.

Im waiting for the inevitable "I'm glad Trank spoke up and said his mind. He doesnt kiss any ass!" posts.

I know some will disagree with me.

But if news broke on Monday that Bryan Singer (or Matthew Vaughn) was directing Fantastic Four 2, the press will once again turn to a positive route because of who is attached.

Hollywood is fickle.

I mean...maybe he's right...but...there is no chance of that happening.

Bryan Singer and Matthew Vaughn ain't ruining their reputations by directing a sequel to one of the worse reviewed films ever.

If Fox really is to blame here (and, let's be honest, they are), then I am happy about that. I mean it's career-suicide, but it's HIS career, not mine, so I'm glad he's being a dick, haha. Makes this more fun.

It's over, Fox. You've completely run this franchise into the ground and then some.

Time to start thinking about alternative options.

You know I actually believe Trank. I'm not dismissing the possibility that he had a part to play in this trainwreck being a trainwreck, but given that I've heard the first half of the movie (which we suspect was his part) was actually not that bad ... I'm inclined to think Fox hijacked the project and made it worse with their "fixing." I also suspect Fox only hired Trank because his vision was cheap (and they probably tried to limit the budget more) and his inexperience would make him theoretically easier to control and a convenient scapegoat (he's obviously the one being thrown to the wolves here). They also sadled him with Kinberg as a co-writer/producer -- hardly a strong partner to give an inexperienced director. The contempt they had for this project from the start is obvious.

I really need that documentary.

I think that JT had a vision. Clearly that vision wasn't going to fly with many F4 fans but he did and Fox hired knowing I assume what that vision was. They should have let him do and just guide him a bit. JT unprofessional and stubbornness might have made things harder though. The resulting movie might not have been great and hardcore fans would most likely hated it but it would have been more coherent movie that maybe had something to say.

Fox clearly got nervous about fan backlash and/or they felt JT vision wasn't going to make profit so they stepped in. Their mistake here was that there is no real care for the movie since it was being rushed to meet rights deadline which I don't blame Fox for. Fox didn't steal the right to F4 and I don't think they should just give it back to Disney Marvel without getting what they want out of it. No one knows what Disney is willing to offer or offered Fox in these talks. That is why them stepping in was disaster. You can't really fix a movie when you don't clearly care about it. That is why they should have let JT do his thing.

I also think that JT has the right to defend himself. Fox has been throwing him under the bus with all these stories. JT hasn't really fight back except being rude to some fans on twitter. Clearly he has nothing to lose now. He is already blacklisted from Fox and probably other studios.

I blame Fox, JT and yes Disney Marvel.
Disney Marvel could have saved everyone all these pain if they just offered Fox a deal they were happy with. Fox clearly doesn't care about F4 and I really think they would take a deal if they were happy with that deal.

I get that Fox had to make this movie for rights and I don't blame them for that but they should have put more care if they are going to bother making movie. They own the fans and everyone else that much. Or just give give the damn rights back if you are going to be that lazy.

JT should have been more professional and team player.

Everyone is at fault except the fans here. Disney Marvel isn't a victim here. When it comes to these freaking studios, only the fans suffer. I would probably never get my X-men animated shows. So **** everyone

That is just my assessment of things. Of course we won't know anything for sure unless we get that damn documentary.

LOL, I can't blame Disney Marvel.

On some level, the hilarity this has brought forth is like fun. I mean...we are all having fun joking and having a good time about this.

Let's face it guys. The next Fox Fantastic Four reboot had almost no chance of being good. I feel like this is what had to happen in a way.

Is this a trainwreck? Yes. But it's a trainwreck we can watch, enjoy and laugh at.

Nope, a.) it's extortion. b.) they've been well off so far.

I did some admittedly unscientific research on ticket sales for FF this weekend and the results are stunning and AWESOME!!!!
The newest most modern theater here in West Palm Beach has all reserved/assigned seating. People go online and reserve seats and pay for them.
The facts...
MI:RN is showing on two screens (it's second week) & FF only one and they kept MI in the main and only IMAX screen. So 8 friday & saturday evening showings for MI and only 4 for FF.
I went to al 12 showings and counted how many seats had already ben reserved and paid for.
The tally----
MI has 185 total seats so far reserved combined and
FF has a grand total of 26 !!!
That's a freaking 7 to 1 ratio.

I don't know how it will play out, but if MI can merely beat FF, let alone clobber it on it's opening weekend---that would set the stage for it being a mega flop!
Here's hoping.

That's all you can do really.

Deep down, I'm very upset that this property got completely ****ed - AGAIN.

Supposedly this is more tedious bad than enjoyable bad lol I'm not watching it maybe bootleg at best. And I NEVER do that, I won't even give them the Netflix view.

Just the fact that Trank responded to the reviews on Twitter shows that he is pretty broken up about this. Guy wanted people to hear his side but only made things worse.

Ya dun goofed, Josh.

I don't blame Disney/Marvel.

I am so sick of people treating Josh Trank like a little puppy.
