Can somebody give me bullet point on the problems this movie has had production wise? I have the bas***ization of the characters and comics, but I'd like to explain to my friends what the hell is wrong with the movie beyond that as well as some sources.

There WAS one, it was stickied at the top of the board, but it seems to have been deleted.

If you go to the Josh Trank thread there are a few videos that very neatly and detailedly go through ALLL the problems this movie has had from beginning to present.

Not deleted but unstickied:

But I don't think that goes through all the actual production problems as such.

I picked up X-Men First Class on Blu-ray from Best Buy today for $7.99 and it came with $8 in Fandango MovieCash for Fantastic 4. So I guess I will be watching this afterall. At least this way I can watch this turd without paying for it.

That would be a good Blu Ray to pick, because I enjoy First Class you see.

Morbid curiosity might get to me like it did last year with Ninja Turtles. I still haven't completely ruled out seeing it in theaters.

One of the curses and benefits of living way out in the sticks for me is that my local cinema doesn't get films until ages after their release, if I want to see them on release I would have to do a good bit of traveling and spend a good bit of money. But my local cinema has excelled themselves by getting Ant-Man less than a month after release, so I will have Ant-Man and Inside Out to see the week of the 7th. Seeing FF until probably two months after release is not really an option for me, and by then I will know well if it is worth my time.

The green lava doesn't bother me ... much. At least it's something different visually. But I do agree with spideboy about the scenes looking too dark now.

Also I'm not convinced that it was always meant to be green. Those red version scenes in the trailers looked like finished shots to me; and I don't see why you would make a finished shot with the red lava if you intended to make it green later.

Yeah, honestly the quality looked way better in red, not good, but better

Hilarious that Trank said it "was always meant to be green". Utter BS.

"Weta? Josh here. That Planet Zero stuff? Yeah, it's gonna be green in the end buts lets waste time and money and render it all in red just for the hell of it."

A likely story...

It looked far better in red. As it stands, it looks like CG green screen nonsense. Considering how bad they butchered the thing, at least they are being consistent.

He DID say it then? Oh man I thought I was going crazy, because I could have sworn that he DID, but when I went to look at his Twitter I couldn't find it.

Must have deleted it or he said it elsewhere.

What the...I'm not seeing it on his Tweets OR tweets & replies around the 14th.

That's weird. But there it is.

Honestly what kind of sap would actually buy it was meant to be green, they made it red for the main trailers, and then decided to finally change it to green?

How gullible would a person have to be?

That makes no sense. What an odd thing to lie about it.

They'll fix the green lava in the sequel, in a flashback.

I am so curious. Pretty much depends on how good Rogue Nation is and if Shaun the Sheep is released in my area.

Fox and Trank can't stop lying about this cluster**** of a film.
Trank is the kind of person who gets super defensive, to the point of clearly lying about things. There is a reason he has got into internet fights with fans.
