The Amazing Spider-Man The Final candiates for Peter Parker in Sony's shortlist

A tv show is a performance:huh:

I don't want Glover but saying Yelchin as Charlie Bartlett is Peter Parker is a bit off.

Aaron Johnson as Kick Ass is way more Peter Parker than Yelchin as Charlie Bartlett.
THEATRICAL in theatre, ya know a movie?

Batman and Spider-man ;)

lol this reminds me of John and Jack Marston from Red Dead Redemption...never thought of that until now...but I love 3:10 to Yuma and Logans performance was great in it...and showed some skills to playing a role like Parker (just like Anton)
but what was said before by chaseter (very smartly put) Aaron Johnson played Parker already...and perfectly...more so than Anton
Aarons my number 1 choice...but I want a Kick-Ass 2 so I'm also cheering for Logan Lerman but I also wish Frank Dillane could get it cause I think he could easily pull it off...but from the story written he wont be able to
Anton would be so awesome to see become more and more evil throughout the movies and possibly be GG 2...Hes certainly skilled to do it...
Go Aaron, Frank, or Lerman!

Oh I can beat that.

Spider-Man and IronMan!

I'm sorry I can't buy Yelchin as Peter Parker / Spider-Man tough when he needs too be.

He seems more docile, and can play the damaged son role, ala Harry Osborn.

Lerman and Yelchin are stripped right out of my subconsiocus of who Peter Parker and Harry Osborn would look like in real life. Period.

Considering that Peter Parker becomes more confident and less awkward after the Spider bite and had girls like Betty Brant and Liz Allan attracted to him I'd say that he shouldn't necessarily look anywhere near as goofy looking as Yelchin or Maguire.

Come on guys Parker has looked like this before:

Yelchin is goofy looking? LOL

hehe Spider Man and Iron Man

and if anyone has seen Wonder Boys, theres a scene that is about as funny as the one in Tropic Thunder involving these 2(like Civil War when Pete was Tony's ***** :funny:

Yelchin is starting to mature into a better looking man now

So yeah I see him as Peter there.

to be fair if logan lerman landed the smoking hot MJ you would bat an eyelid but if yelchin landed the smoking hot MJ it would be a surprise as frankly he is pretty goofy looking.

But the moral of Spider-Man back in the day was that even the nerds can get hot girlfriends.

TBH. I dont like Lerman for the same reason I didnt like Glover...they are both ****-heads. When they are trying to be cool, their acting like ****-heads,I literally want smash their faces in. Harsh as it sounds.

When Anton is trying to be cool and acting like a ****,I still like him. Cause he is a likeable person and you can see that. I laugh out loud at Anton cause he is genuinely funny and witty. Lerman is funny for being obnoxious and not in a likeable way.

Lerman doesn't have the skill that Anton and Glover have.

And IMO,that pic, I see more of Harry, but still see a sufficient amount of Peter.

Yes, once you get past the complete lack of charisma and wit. Kick-Ass would be a worthy successor to Maguire's shy and uncertain Spider-Man, but not a good fit for the mouthy Ultimate Spider-Man they're going for now.

And Spider-Man isn't a private school drug dealer like Charlie Bartlett:huh:

Aaron Johnson screams classic Peter Parker and Logan Lerman looks like Ultimate Peter Parker and they both can act.

At 21, Yelchin seems like the most likely candidate to play Spider-Man.

He has a youthful look to him which will likely stay during his 20's. That gives a solid 10yrs where he will remain relatively the same age.

The problem with casting an actual teenager is the puberty factor. Look at Harry Potter, he has gone through such a drastic change in physical appearance from movie to movie. Some may argue that this is a good thing; but if the reboot intends to keep Parker in high school throughout, it's in their best interest to have an actor who will remain relatively un-aging during this time.

Lerman is already 18. I doubt 'puberty' will be an issue.

He does seem to come off more mature nowadays:

Lerman or Yelchin...this can only be settled one way..................
